Wonderful
We loved the pool—used it several times during the week. Location was wonderful—good food on site and at La Dictionnaire across the street and we loved Café Lea at the end of the block.
I probably didn’t love all of the taxidermies creatures in the entrance but that’s it.

Hotel Monte Cristo lives up to its name and presents the aspects of its namesake's (Count of Monte Cristo) with love to the detail. From entrance to reception to staircase and room decoration and even the bar with lovely tiles and their own cups all invite to leave the here and now and enjoy a bit of extravagant traveling. Staff is both professional and kind, making you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. Staff at the rum bar with a great selection (1.600 bottles plus, they say) makes you understand and see rum in a way you didn't know it was like - if you like rum or not, a visit and small tasting is a must! The rooms are spacious and cozy and also here, every detail has been thought of.

Wonderful
This is a great little boutique hotel near the Latin Quarter in Paris that is well-run, with a very attentive and friendly staff. It is near so many restaurants, bars, boulangeries, markets...you name it. Also very close to the Censier-Daubenton Metro station and several bus stops. One of our favorite parts of each day of our stay was breakfast. Pastries, breads, jams, eggs, bacon, hams, fruit, coffee and fresh-squeezed juices...we never wanted to skip it no matter how early our days started. The lap pool and the sauna in the basement were a novelty we tried once. The rooms were nicely appointed and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. The wardrobe was small but still had enough space to store our luggage (there's also space under the bed if you open the suitcase to slide under). Rooms have central heat/air, things we heard were lacking in some Paris hotels. And there's a modern elevator with room for about 5 people. Overall it was a nice base for our week-long winter vacation. We would recommend!
We never could get the internet to work. Not a big deal. and we didn't ask about it, so that's on us.
Seemed like summer prices in the winter, so the value didn't seem exceptional, but still fair.

Decor, design, art, an amazing bar and restaurant, and fantastic friendly service!
There is attention to detail everywhere. You can feel the care, thought, and work that went into this. And this translates to all the services and staff. From the scents, to the lighting and the specialized rum bar, into the warm and intimate corridors and shared areas and beautiful rooms, this hotel takes you on a storytelling journey of evocative landscapes, exotic artifacts, and tales of travels.
The spa could benefit from splitting the pool and adding a hot tub. There is not much space to relax down there, as the pool takes up most of the area. I feel like less pool area, more lounge chairs and a hot tub would make this incredibly more comfortable and relaxing. Nevertheless, it is probably more than enough for warm days :)

The location was excellent. Plus it was quiet and not in an area overrun with tourists…. even though I am one!!
No complaints at all…. Except maybe the room size. But. Understand this is the norm in Europe!

Very nice hotel at the bottom of the 5th arrondissement. The staff is exceptional, always ready to help and very friendly.
Knowledgeable barman who really love their craft.
The breakfast buffet is repetitive. We were there 3 days in a row and the offering was the same. The bar is cool but quite expensive.

I loved everything about my stay here! Gorgeous, well-maintained property. My room was a cozy retreat that I looked forward to coming “home” to each night.
bedding and bathroom felt luxurious. Lovely to have a balcony with a small table, a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink. The pool and sauna were a nice bonus, and a welcome treat after a long day of walking. The bar was lovely and the custom rum cocktails are not to be missed.
Nothing. It exceeded my expectations.

Good
The location of the hotel is very good, walking distance from La Rue Mouffetard, Notre-Dame and many central places in Paris. The breakfast was also very good, and the place was quiet and staff friendly. The Hotel has quite some old Parisienne character. The rooms are somewhat on the small side, and at least the one I stayed in was quite dark and a little bit gloomy but nevertheless nice!
I would have preferred a room with a view and a little more spacious!

Hôtel Monte Cristo exceeded my expectations for my stay in Paris. I'd been traveling for the past week, and I walk in to this charming hotel that smelled incredible. The staff greeted me and were very friendly. My room was ready and they upgraded me (so nice!). The room itself was very chic, and the balcony was awesome. I also appreciated the full length mirrors, lighting in the bathroom and how comfortable the bed was. Honestly I wanted to stay longer just to keep sleeping in that bed, the bed linens and pillows were a dream. The shower was also great, as were all of their products. I never use hotel shampoo/conditioner but U gave theirs a try and my hair was flawless. Overall when I go back to Paris I want to stay here. I usually like the 18th, but chose this place because it was closer to the train station I needed. However, I won't be able to resist staying here for longer in the future to try out the pool, sauna and their bar. 10/10 would highly recommend!
Tea kettle in the room would've been great. I used the espresso machine for hot water and probably could've called down to ask for hot water, but it's nice when it's in the room.
