This is a very good hotel. All rooms in Paris are small unless you pay a small fortune, and yes the room was small but very comfortable and kitted out in a ln upmarket way. Everything worked - no niggles. The staff were v friendly and helpful and polite. The breakfast was excellent with good fresh ingredients- the fruit juices not concentrate. Put it this way - when you’re trying to figure out what an unknown hotel is like from photos and guest’s reviews, in this price bracket, you can depend on the Hilton Brand that you will not be disappointed. It’s in a v good location, (Gare St. Lazare) from CDG you just get the RER B and change to the RER E at Gare du Nord (Reverse on way back) and you have access to the Metro (and a Taxi rank) on your doorstep. If you are feeling energetic as we were then most of the major sights are a 30-40 minute walk.

The shock was that there was no water in the rooms; we had to go down the corridor to get some! We had to buy water for the duration of our stay, costing €85. They don't clean the rooms daily, and if they do, they don't provide toiletries or tea. We booked an extra night through their website, but we couldn't find a reservation on Booking.com, and they wouldn't even allow us to stay in the same room for half a day. When we moved to another room, we left the handheld bidet for just a few minutes and returned to find it missing. We reported it missing, but unfortunately, the response was, "We couldn't find it." Umbrellas cost €3; they're not free! Feeling unsafe, there was a loud and forceful knocking on the door despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign. I couldn't see who it was, and it wasn't room service. I called reception to send security to see who it was. They apologized and said it was room service, but I didn't believe them; the voice was a man's, and all the room service staff were women. This is a very bad experience at this hotel.
