The location was perfect and the staff was amazing. It rained almost every day we were there and they had umbrellas at the ready for us. They moved quickly to get our room ready when we arrived early.

Perfect location with Metro station right in front, walking distance to major sites and wonderful restaurants all around. Breakfast was nice, with plenty of choices. Front office checked with me on WhatsApp to see if there was anything we needed during the day. Concierge was super helpful. We also got a room upgrade which was a pleasant surprise.
Soundproofing can be a bit better (could hear some conversations coming from inside rooms while walking corridor) but not a big issue as long as there are no loud children.

Close to the Louvre, rooms were clean and staff friendly
The first morning I was there the geysers failed so we could not shower or bath!
The second day at 2a.m. the fire alarm went off and we all had to go down to the lobby with a blaring alarm which turned out to be a false alarm.
Did they apologise for any of this? Hardly! I would imagine that they should offer us breakfast on the house or something but no - just an indignant 'it was not our fault'
In addition, and this is supposedly a 5 star hotel, there was no laundry service on a Sunday!
All this for 500 euros a night.
There are much better hotels for the same price. Rather go elsewhere.

This is my fave hotel in Paris. Legendary location that is centrally located and close to major sites, the Paris metro and great dining and shopping in minutes by walking. It is also a beautiful building w 5 star amenities and excellent service. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and available to help with anything you might need. I truly think of this as my Paris home when I’m lucky enough to visit!
