Exceptional
Let’s start off with the location. The hotel is just mere meters away from Place de la République metro station which services 5 lines which makes getting around super easy. There are also great restaurants and cafes around Place de la République so after a long day out exploring you can still get a good meal and drink.
Now for the rooms, compared to other places I’ve stayed in Paris, this was by far the most spacious. The rooms are very comfortable and while my room was street facing, it was still relatively quiet which is unusual.
Now, the staff….WOW! I travel for a living and spend a lot of time in hotels. The team at Crowne Plaza are so friendly, welcoming, passionate and warm. The hotel duty manager or hotel manager would always say good morning or evening every time we passed and would check in to see how our stay was going, then there was Naomi (food and Bev manager) who was just so lovely to chat to while enjoying dinner. My favourite though was the woman who greeted us every morning for breakfast with a beaming smile and would remember our coffee, a table for 2 and would check in with how our prior day was and what he had planned for the day ahead.

Helpful and professional staff. Great location.
There was a leak in our bathroom which was inconvenient as we couldn’t shower that morning. However, it was fixed later the same day. The manager came to find us the next day to e sure all was satisfactory which was a nice professional touch.

Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful and responded quickly to any requests. Location is very convenient, a few steps from the metro. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit etc.
We had a Premium King room. While this was a good size and quiet (because it overlooked the inner courtyard) and had a comfortable bed, there were, for us, several design flaws. It had a very large sofa which meant that you had to squeeze round the ends either to get to one side of the bed or in order to enter the bathroom, risking bumping your head on the TV on the wall in the process. The washbasin had no mechanism to plug it in order to fill it with water. There were no drawers for clothes and limited space to put things on a shelf. The WC was, unusually in our experience, separate from the bathroom. Maybe some would like that but you had to go through the bedroom to go from one to the the other.

The breakfast was okay.
Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The room was dirty and had a bad smell from the bathroom. The layout was poor, and everything looked old, especially the bathroom. The main door lock was broken. The location didn’t feel safe at night and was surrounded by scary people. For the price, this hotel is not worth it.

The location in the Marais of Paris was quite excellent. Room faced onto the Rue de republic Square with every night there were protest until 9 PM.
What is like the room not facing the square but none were available
Would stay there again if we had a different room also the rooms are a little bit rundown some things need fixing.
On the outside though it’s a beautiful hotel

Location not close to Tourist attractions however once you get used to the underground metro it’s fine but that needs some instruction!
