Love that the Gare de L’Est station is right across the street, making travel very easy. The staff were so kind. Loved the views from the property - made us truly feel like we were in Paris. The breakfast buffet was amazing - I would have gone back for dinner if they provided the option. The location had lots of restaurants and stores to walk to as well.
Since the square is a popular hub, the noise from protests and night time activity made it a bit difficult to sleep.

Getting in and out of bathtub is hard for older people. Thank goodness for grab bars! I’ll ask for a walk in shower next time.

The location to walk the town is excellent and being at the square gives plenty nice places to eat and drink within short distance.
The bed was firm and good, especially to relax after long walks this was a welcome feeling
The room was slightly tired and could do with a refurbishment.
It was advertised in booking.com to have its own private parking, but in fact it doesn’t have this at all. It relies on an indoor underground parking around the corner which is not part of the hotel.

Hotel is a great location at Republique Sq. with good Metro connections but not in the middle of the high tourist areas. That square however is popular for protests and an active late night crowd so rooms that face the courtyard area are much quieter. Breakfast is excellent with many choices and an omlette/egg to order guy. The room was small like most hotels in Paris and had limited storage places within the room but quite functional. I thought the price was a little high for the room size but Paris is expensive in general for tourists.
We had a room near the elevators on the 2nd floor and there was some kind of active furniture moving above or below us that went on at all times of day and night. We asked the front desk about it and they had no answers....it sounded like heavy tables being dragged around on a hard surface floor.

Lovely hotel, staff were very helpful and polite. Location is great, my room was a very good size with two double beds for a family of four. The room was a little cold, however housekeeping brought me a portable radiator which gave off a lot of heat. This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel, highly recommend it.
There could have been more plant based choices for breakfast
