Staff was very kind, room was clean. Hotel is located in the modern part of the city with very interesting architecture. I like it very much. Public transportation is very good - Metro and railway station are very close to the hotel.

Super friendly and communicative staff. Large and spacious - the location is super well connected to the metro/tram. 25 mins from the center of the city. This area is super quiet as well.

The location was perfect. We were in a few metro stops from everywhere we wanted to go. Getting to and from the airport was easy.
I didn’t like the split level apt with the winding staircase. Originally we were going to have a 4 year old with us and the stairs are not ideal for young children. The apt was very warm and we couldn’t get the temp to lower, even after making a request at the front desk. The upstairs bathroom had the faint smell of sewage the entire stay. It was very noticeable when entering the apt, since the bathroom is right there. The “kitchen,” however, was only a few more feet away and you could smell it there too. It wasn’t appetizing.

Room and location responded to our expectations

Disappointing
We arrived by train at Gare de Lyon and took the #14 metro to the hotel, which is about 3 blocks west of the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand stop. It's in a modern area with a mix of apartments, hotels and office buildings, although there are traditional Parisian apartments just a few blocks to the south. We'd booked a "superior" 1-BR apartment which has 484 sq ft, a loft bedroom with a second bathroom, TWO luggage racks (yay!), and a balcony. The breakfast room is attractive, and food offerings were similar to offerings at hotels we stayed at in Bordeaux, Arles, and Lyon - i.e., adequate - though the Paris price for breakfast was much higher.
Although the apartment was big, it didn't really feel comfortable, Lighting was so dim that in the mornings it was hard to tell what color our clothes were - it was even hard to tell the difference between pants and shirts. The kitchen was equipped for casual use - we didn't attempt more, and I'm not sure we could have figured out how to use the stovetop if we'd wanted to - but dishes, cups, and silverware were stored on such high shelves that we could have used a step ladder to reach them. The king-sized bed had a ridge down the middle that discouraged, ahem, cuddling. Almost everywhere we went in France we were greeted with a friendly "bonjour." At this hotel, front-desk staff ignored us, although they did usually answer our greetings with a muttered "bonjour." They seemed absorbed by whatever was on their screens - perhaps they have additional responsibilities (besides greeting guests and checking them in and out) that keep them very busy - ? We decline hotel housekeeping, even when it's offered for free - we are neat and we see no need to use resources unnecessarily. However, we still want to take our garbage out. I was taken aback when I brought a small bag of used food wrappers to the lobby and, seeing no garbage cans and asking where I could dispose of my small bag of garbage, I was directed to go out the back door IN THE DARK to find the hotel dumpsters. They couldn't have told me (as my husband noticed later) that there were two garbage cans just around the corner in the breakfast room?? Finally, we caught some attitude at breakfast when we politely asked to sit at a quiet table for two rather than joining two strangers already sitting at a table for four. Lest you think we behave rudely and perhaps "deserve" to be treated rudely in return, I can only say we don't think that's the case.

Good
It’s near to the Metro, some good restaurants and a couple grocery stores. The district it’s located in is also safe and clean.
The property’s facilities are not well-maintained. The shower stall doesn’t have enclosure walls (Why?) The bathroom’s exhaust fan is pretty weak so that it feels like it’s not working. Small flies coming out of the shower floor’s drainage pipe. Hallway’s carpet is so worn out and faded and needs to be replaced. Closet door’ s hinge is loose so one has to be careful opening it. But bed is comfortable and firm.

Wonderful
Room is very nice but water is not stable sometime hot and sometime cold. There are McDonald close to hotel, which is very good. One things that could approve is washing machine and dryer were broken, so cannot use it. Finally the hotel staff are very nice.
Washing machine and dryer were broken. And water in the room is not stable. Sometime hot sometime cold.

Very Poor
After checking into the room, I heard drilling noises so I went to the front desk and ask why was told that the hotel was going through our construction and I’m thinking why admit customers when you’re having construction? The noise continued until the staff reassigned a new room for my stay. I will offer compliments to the staff for taking care of this situation in a more professional way.

Wonderful
Clean and well maintained, convenient to metro and to national library (purpose of my visit). Friendly staff.
Rooms a bit small, not really an apartment as no kitchen facilities (just microwave, kettle, and mini fridge). TV didn’t work (kept losing signal). But these were minor issues; I would definitely stay there again.

Needs some updating. Both rooms A/C did not work well so we were very hot the entire night therefore we didn't sleep well

The staff were friendly and the location was great
I realized that the warm weather was unusual for this time of the year, May 1st, the room was very hot and when I asked about the air conditioning I was told that there's no air conditioning until the end of May

Clean room. I enjoyed the coffee machine in the bedroom.
I found difficult to enter the room with the card, had to try a number of times each time. Breakfast was very nice but expensive.
