Located in the heart of Nice, on the Promenade des Anglais, Westminster Hotel & Spa features a spa and seafront terrace. The hotel is decorated in a Belle Epoque style and offers both a bar and luxury lounge areas. High-speed wired internet access and free WiFi are provided. There is also a fitness center that guests can use free of charge. Guest rooms offer contemporary décor and are equipped with a flat-screen TV with free access to satellite channels and videos on demand. There is also a desk, a telephone with a direct line and voice mail, and an electronic lock and a safe. The air conditioning and heating systems are individually regulated in each room. The location is unbeatable, right on the promenade. Restaurants and shops nearby, old center in walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was the size of the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking garage 2 minutes walking distance.
The breakfast options are typical for the area, not a lot of variety for the price. A suggestion would be to have pre-boiled eggs ready, otherwise it takes quite a bit to boil the eggs and then wait until they are at normal temperature. Too bad that the windows in the restaurant area overlooking the Promenade had very big cracks.

This is a lovely, classically styled hotel on the Boulevard des Anglais, just across from the beach. (Nice's beach is pebbly, but well worth a visit). The reception areas and lobby are magnificent, and the staff were very helpful. I was travelling with family, and we booked two rooms. One room, which had a full sea view, was well equipped but very small. The other was a corner room with glimpses of the sea, which was more spacious and better value. I would recommend other visitors to try one of the corner rooms.

Location.
The reception staff were of no help at all, apart from one lovely gentleman at check out. The girls in the wellness center are unfriendly and unwelcoming with no knowledge of the English language. Wellness is small and if you book at the last minute you will not get an appointment. There are many good restaurants nearby with friendly staff who will be happy to serve you.

The location was excellent. It was very elegant and well maintained for an older property. The automatic black out blinds were the best part.

The location was great the staff friendly . Spa was great and staff very efficient . That the plus and if you get a room with a balcony facing the sea then it makes it even bettter .
However that where it stops. The rooms and decor were dated .and uncordinated . The beds were uncomfortable the toilets need to be updated. Cleanliness was to be desired . I suspect that the rooms when cleaned, whatever could be recycled when ever possible was done so . The breakfast was basic and for a long stay becomes a bit tiring . So for the high price thats is charged it is only for the location as thats the only thing thats worth it. There are other options along the stretch that is more worth the price. Unless you like this type of old charm then this is the place for you.
