Restaurant was marginal. This was our last stop after traveling through Europe for ten weeks and our dinner the first night was one of the most expensive but worst meals we had.

I like the convenience of the airport shuttle, the proximity and ease of the tram to the Old Town, the reasonably priced accommodations, and, of course, the welcoming staff. I always stay here when I am in Nice.

The shower floors are still like ice. And there are no safety bars. I have said this before. Luckily we travel with a shower pad that reduces the risk of shower falls.

The breakfast is excellent, and the restaurant is also very good even if the staff seem disinterested.
The airport shuttle driver was rude and unhelpful, as were the staff at reception (with one exception, and unfortunately did not get his name).
We were particularly annoyed by a couple of things. When we arrived, we wanted to have the shuttle pick us up as the two reasons we booked this hotel were the breakfast and the airport shuttle. The phone line did not work, or no one answered when we called the hotel, including from the direct line at the airport info centre. This resulted in €35 cab ride to travel less than a kilometre. When I contacted the hotel through the Booking app to see if we could book the shuttle in advance, they did not reply, likewise when we were at the airport and the calls to the hotel failed and the app was the only want it seemed to contact reception.
When we were leaving, the shuttle driver unloaded our bags and told us it was "not possible" to take us with other passengers. He did come back to collect us, but the experience was unpleasant.

Even though Novotel Arenas had gotten great reviews, we arrived with the bar set low - expecting the average bland and "adequate" airport hotel. On entering the lobby, we were pleasantly surprised - it is light and bright and stylish. The staff were helpful and welcoming. And....this was a stunner....the restaurant was quite good! While they do have a shuttle service to the airport terminals, we found we could easily walk there with our luggage in under 10 minutes. We took the opportunity to rent bikes/walk on the Promenade des Anglais for a couple of hours. Terrific hotel location.

Close to the airport. And the front desk is staffed 24/7. They have a free shuttle from the airport which was very helpful You just have to call them when you land. We checked in after midnight and we had no issues with pickup and check in.
Awkward room configuration. Entry through the bathroom which was a bit weird. And there is no separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom. So everything will get wet when you take a shower. I think they gave us the accessible room and that could be the reason. Could be different for other rooms.
