Great location, good flair and vibe.
Way too expensive for what you get. I have been to much higher-value places for less money. Blue Bar beach access for 32€ per person. Cocktails for 19€.
This place seems to justify the price by location and legacy, not by what they deliver.

The location was great, air conditioning worked well as the weather was very hot during our stay. Breakfast room was very pleasant, with great selections. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional.
Hotel is a bit, and the carpeting in our room was very dirty. No pool, to be fair I knew that when I made the reservation.

The location was excellent near many activities and Old Nice. The room was small but well organized, with a modern bathroom, very comfortable bed and quiet. The AC worked well and kept the room cool during the heat wave. The concierge was very friendly and helpful.
The triple room was small, good for 2 adults and 1 child, but not 3 adults and did not correspond to the one pictured on the website with a seating area distinct from the main room and a mezzanine. That was disappointing.

Host at restaurant accommodated our lack of reservation and was so kind to us.
One male at breakfast on the first day was quite rude about having only 15 mins to eat. We knew it closed at 11am so being rude isn't necessary.

The location.
I booked and prepaid one month in advance for a room for three people with two full-size beds. When I arrived, I was told that the rooms shown in the photos were already booked, but that I would be given a similar room for the same price. In reality, instead of one of the beds, there was a sofa that was less than 2 meters long.
After 30 minutes of discussions, I was finally given another room with two beds, but the second bed was a single bed instead of the king-size bed I had paid for.
We only stayed for one night, so we tolerated it, but we definitely will not return.

The room had a spectacular iconic view of the Promenade. The staff was very attentive and polite. The morning buffet had a lot of great choices. The hotel restaurant served delicious food and had a very charming staff. We loved being right across from the beach. The bed was comfortable and the room was well attended throughout our stay. Also, the decent A/C was a godsend during this heat wave.
For a junior suite room with such classic decor in a classically old building, you would think they would have re-upholstered the carpet or tore it out completely and added insulated wooden flooring or some other option. In no uncertain terms, the carpet was kind of gross. Like, worse than the first apartment my partner and I rented for cheap in Sam Francisco, California more than two decades ago stained and old. To be fair, it was clean and the room smelled nice (not mildewy or anything.)
Similarly, the shower head had weird issues and leaked a lot. I feel like that one in particular is a really easy fix, replacing a shower head isn’t too challenging or costly.

a 3 person room, with bunk beds. Never was i informed we would be in bunk beds. We are 3 women over the age of 60, bunk beds are not appropriate. There are no pictures on your sight of a bunk bed room. I was told on my booking 1 large bed ( for 2) and 1 smaller bed. because of this omission, 1 of my traveling partners refuses to pay for her share of the room ( to which I am owed). Very upsetting.

Location was good.
The staff gave us a double beds even though our reservations was for queen size beds and we had paid for it. The staff lied and said we don’t have queen bed rooms as we have over sold. The second night the air condition was leaking water from ceiling and they refused to change our room and treated us very badly. It was a horrible experience and the staff were just awful.

The hotel is beautiful and in an excellent location. We stayed in a corner suite during our honeymoon and were welcomed with chocolates, which was a thoughtful touch. The beach club discount through the hotel was a great perk, and overall we had a wonderful stay enjoying both the property and the surrounding area.
The main issues were with basic room maintenance and housekeeping details. The sink was backed up when we arrived and required a service call. We also had to request additional toilet paper after our room was cleaned because none was replenished. Additionally, the shower gel dispenser was not full at the start of our stay, and when we requested a refill near the end of our trip, it was never addressed. None of these issues were major on their own, but they were surprising oversights for an otherwise lovely hotel.
