The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very encouraging with our broken french ?. The breakfast was very nice, cooked to order. More personal than a large chain hotel buffet breakfast. Great quality. The pancakes and the fig and goats cheese on toast were lovely. The location was very good, close to the train station to visit surrounding areas and near tram stops for visiting the old town and beach (you could walk but we chose to save our legs!). Had a fantastic stay, thanks to everyone working at Maison Durante for making our stay so lovely.

The hallways have paint peeling everywhere. It’s sad because it’s such a great place and such simple maintenance (like paint) would make such a difference!!

Very welcoming and helpful front desk manager--Chloe I think. She was extremely welcoming and helped us with dinner, suggestions and where things were in the hotel and area.
I prefer to be a little closer to the water, but it was the Iron Man competition so everything was booked, but this property was very nice and certainly within walking distance of a lot.

Great location! only 4min walk to Nice ville train station. Cozy French style decoration with a yard for outdoor breakfast to start with the day, and the breakfast was delicious! Strongly recommended.
There is no elevator so if you stay in the second floor, will have to carry luggages upstair. But no much worries, staff girls were all very nice, they helped carry luggages up.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. They also made recommendations on museums and other things in town that aligned with our interests. Room was very clean and modern and surprisingly spacious for a European hotel in this price range. The outdoor courtyard was lovely. Very nice water filling station (cold or room temp, plain or sparkling) and free coffee (Nespresso type machine) in the lobby. They have a very nice looking breakfast buffet for 20 Euros but we were waking up a bit late and didn't get a chance to try it. Location was excellent, very close to everything yet tucked away on a quiet street.
This is not at all a criticism but just a suggestion. We were given a lot of great advice on local things, but one thing we would have liked to have known in advance is that the private beaches in Nice need to be reserved ahead of time as they fill up quickly. Also, this was entirely our mistake but we didn't realize that on the tram in Nice you need to buy a fare card and then validate the fare card inside the tram. We paid for our fare but didn't know we had to validate it on the tram, so we ended up getting a ticket (40 Euro per person), so perhaps a little bit of advice about how the fare works on the tram would be helpful to let guests know about during check in.

Loved the location! Conveniently located close to the main station so it's perfect for daytrips around the Riviera. Close to the city center but far enough to have some peace and quiet! Out room was very comfortable, very clean, well-decorated, and smells good!! The staff was AMAZING! So helpful, so hospitable! We traveled to Cote d'Azur for my birthday and I'm so glad I stayed at this hotel because we really had a good experience. They even gave me a small surprise and free breakfast. Very nice people! The property was also very pretty. Highly highly recommend!

Location of the hotel is excellent, in a quiet cul de sac off Avenue Durante. Very handy for the Station.
Loved the rooms - clean and fresh, well decorated. All the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The daily breakfasts were exceptional - great choice, quality very high, super service.
We'd have liked a mini fridge in the room. Not essential but useful.
