Title: Spacious and comfortable stay with professional service
We had a pleasant stay at Goldstar Apartments & Suites. During check-in, the receptionist looked quite serious at first, but was actually very professional and kind, explaining everything clearly.
When we took the lift to our floor, we were a bit surprised to see a large Chinese doll standing in the hallway — probably part of the hotel’s decoration or collection!
We booked two rooms — one for four people and one for three — and the hotel kindly upgraded both. The rooms were spacious and felt just like real apartments. The living area had a sofa bed already made up for two, a dining table, a work desk, and a small kitchenette with plates, bowls, pots, an electric kettle, instant Nescafé, creamer, sugar, and several kinds of tea.
The bedroom was connected to the living room, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, with both a toilet and a bidet (which is quite rare, even in some 4-star hotels), plus a separate shower and bathtub.
The only thing we didn’t like was that the bathtub didn’t have a shower curtain or a non-slip mat, which might be inconvenient for older guests. Both rooms had the same layout, and we thought it would be even better if the bathtub were replaced with a walk-in shower.
There was no air conditioning in the room, but a fan was provided. Fortunately, the weather was mild during our stay, so we could sleep comfortably with the window open — there was a little noise from outside, but not too much.
We arrived from Paris by train, and the hotel was easy to reach — after exiting the station, we walked just about 12 minutes with our luggage (turning slightly left and following a smooth, convenient path).
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were large, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the staff provided professional and helpful service.
The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, but the bathtub had no shower curtain and the granite floor became slippery when wet, which might be unsafe for elderly guests.

Desk clerk was abrupt. Elevators were elusive. Sometimes they took you where you requested,sometimes you arrived there after going beyond your floor requested and coming back.

It was close to the ocean front, many restaurants and reasonably clean and comfortable.
Some amenities seemed to be scarce. For example, paper towels in the kitchenette or adequate coffee supplies.

It’s worth money paid . Big apartment. Gave us an upgrade to two rooms with same price of the previous booking of 1 bedroom apartment. That was appreciated . Nice location
It’s not 100% secure. The reception was mistaken by giving our apartment keys while we are inside the apartment to other people and they mistakenly barged into our apartment .
Plus fire alarms ring as testing with no notification very early morning for more than 15 minutes

Really Nothing. The place is old and outdated and Creepy. And the pics on the website are misleading.
The wood framing around the door framing was cracked and lose. The tub was old, outdated and peeling. The mirror in the bathroom was broken in the lower right hand corner, which is a HAZARD. The bed had a pretend mattress that was sunken in the middle. The flooring and walls were also outdated. Both face bowls in the bathroom sink were cracked. The tiles around tub were lose and cracked.

Great location, generous space, near restaurants, Boulangeries, groceries, four block to the beach. Apartment 402 was bright and clean.
Communication could be clearer.
Except for Petya, who worked very hard with smiles on, the rest of the staffs could be friendlier.
They over sold on reservations and sent me to the Best Western across the street to a room the size of the closet. After I refused that room they then reorganized and got my one bedroom reservation back.

Gold Star is in a fantastic location within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and cafes. The late 12pm checkout was a huge bonus. Check-in was excellent, and the staff member assisting us was always available for questions and recommendations. Our room was spacious and worked very well for a family. The bathroom was large with a corner bathtub that was perfect for relaxing or bathing children. Overall, the hotel still offers a very enjoyable stay and is worth considering.
The property is starting to show its age, and the air conditioning in our room did not work very well, making it quite warm for summer. Fans were provided, which shows the hotel is aware of this issue. The bathtub drainage was also slow, although this did not significantly affect our stay.
