From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth and exceptional service! The breakfast was delicious with a wonderful assortment of bread , cheeses and pastries as well as hot foods!

Location, we enjoyed this area/part of Nice for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room (224) had a very very bad sewer-like smell coming from the bathroom. It wasn't a 24hrs a day, continuous bad scent but certainly some moments were more unbearable than others. But it definitely wasn't our imagination nor was it caused by us. We have stayed at many hotels so we know a bad smell when we come across one. We had unpacked and settled in and we planned most of our days outdoors so we didn't bother with asking to be moved to another room - but the discomfort this caused was palpable whenever we were near the area of the bathroom. Also, the bedroom rug could have been cleaner, there were old stains and it needed steam cleaning or something. It gave the room the impression of being unkempt. The shower area tiles and walls showed damage and it didn't feel inviting and clean.

We loved the location and private beach!
The private beach closed at 5pm- more than 3 hours before sunset. A big reason for us booking this hotel was the private beach and they closed it before we got a chance of really using it! Make sure to call ahead and check the hours before your stay!

Loved the location and the staff were friendly and always helpful. The beach club was perfect for a relaxing seaside day.
The carpet needs a refresh and the lobby and bar have a mildewy smell.

We stayed in the hotel twice so I will copy my review on both bookings. The 1st time we had an Executive Room (3 nights) which was great. It was big and comfy and we enjoyed it. The greatest thing about this hotel is the location - excellent! Close to the beach, old city, restaurants, main streets, all within walking distance. In some of the days we rented a car and the hotel gives parking for 22 EUR a day in the "Interparking Sulzer" right outside it. The staff are friendly and helpful, we really had a good time. On the last day of our stay, the hot water problem started (boiler malfunction, entire hotel had only freezing cold water). It was unpleasant, but things happen, so we weren't too upset at first. The hotel gave us 1 day free parking as compensation. Then we came back for our 2nd stay. It has been 4 days (!) since, and they still didn't fix the hot water problem! Ridiculous. We had to stay 2 nights (3 days) and they didn't fix it by then. We got an upgrade to the Junior Suite which was huge and amazing (living room & porch, etc.), and we thanked them for it, but we couldn't shower in the cold water the entire time, and still they had no solution. Honestly I wanted to give the hotel a "10" grade since it really was so great, but the hot water thing really made me lower it, and I feel bad because it's nobody's fault and it's not a bad hotel! If I ever come back to Nice I would definitely stay in it again. By the time we left it was over a week without hot water. I think they should have been more creative with it, like offer guests to shower in a gym/spa/something nearby, because not everyone can switch to another hotel. We felt sorry every time we saw new guests arriving and thought "poor souls, they don't know about the water yet". If it weren't for the water thing, I would highly recommend this hotel when travelling to Nice!! (Update: The hotel credited us 40% on the 2nd stay.
No hot water for a full week. Read the above story. Other than that no issues. I still highly recommend it.
