I absolutely do not recommend staying at this hotel, especially given what happened during our stay.
On September 14, 2026, at approximately 7:23 PM, while I was away from the room and my wife was alone inside room 407, a member of the hotel staff entered our room without permission, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being clearly displayed on the door.
What was particularly concerning is that the person walked directly toward the closet area where our safe is located. As soon as they saw my wife inside the room, they immediately left without saying anything, identifying themselves, or providing any explanation.
This is an extremely serious breach of privacy and made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. A hotel room should be a private space, and guests should be able to trust that staff will not enter when a “Do Not Disturb” sign is displayed without a legitimate and clearly communicated reason.
We have formally reported the incident to hotel management and requested an explanation and investigation.
Regardless of how the hotel chooses to address this situation, this experience has significantly affected our trust in the property. For this reason, I cannot recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Hotel is well placed, just slightly back from the main avenue, across the road from the beach and a 20 mins walk to the old town centre. On arrival, it looks very nice from the outside but quite disappointing when going inside,
The lobby is minimal with no facilities...no coffee shop, no bar and a takeaway area for expensive drinks and snacks. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We arrived at 10pm and hopeful that there would be somewhere to have something to east and drink. No. There is a bar/ restaurant on the top floor, which serves a limited hot food menu until 1030pm but we were told it was closed...but was open for drinks until 11pm. we did go up for a drink and were able to get a dessert provided, which was helpful. If the restaurant is stated with closing at 1030pm...then it should not close early...but this occurred every night. There is a small circa 10m by 4m pool, unheated, cordoned off, on the roof beside the restaurant with about 25 lilos. It can be quite crowded and often hard to get seating but pleasant when you can use it.
We also tried breakfast there one morning and arriving at 945pm, found that the continental selection, including bread, fruit, cheese, etc, was not being replenished and that there was hardly anything left and we had to ask for this to be provided. There was a chef providing hot food but it was very slow and they were not on top of it at all. The bacon had been burnt to a crisp and I had to ask for a fresh selection. Overall...very disappointing.
The rooms were clean and quite business type oriented...small room and small bathrooms with a bath and overhead shower.
The hotel is clean and functional but a bit disappointing, especially considering the high prices being asked. Not sure I would use it again.
I was informed that the hotel is closing over the winter period for refurbishment of the rooms and lobby to provide a coffee/bar area in the lobby entrance area, which will be better for guests...
No Coffee/bar facilities in lobby, inconsistent closing times for restaurant at night,, poor quality and management of breakfast delivery, small room and bathrooms. lack of attention to details..such as electrical switch and bedside desk damage (photos)

The biggest advantage of this hotel is wonderful staff
This was my first ever stay in France. I have travelled quite a lot around the world and Europe, but this was my first time in France. To be completely honest, when it comes to the hotel, I expected a little more.
AC Hotel by Marriott Nice advertises itself as a four-star hotel by the beach. My first disappointment was that, although the hotel is indeed very close to the beach, it does not actually have its own beach. I have stayed in hotels in the past where you simply had to cross a main road to get to the beach, but the hotel still had its own beach area. In this case, there was no hotel beach at all, and we had to book sun loungers separately on the beach, at an additional cost. So I am not really sure why it is advertised as a “beach hotel”, at least that is how it appeared to me on Booking.com.
As for the four-star standard, I personally feel that this rating is quite overrated compared with four-star hotels in other countries. In my opinion, the four-star rating is somewhat exaggerated.
The biggest positive of this hotel was definitely the staff. They were absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful, and I have nothing negative to say about them.
However, when it comes to the hotel itself, our room was supposed to have a city view. Unfortunately, I would not describe it as a city view at all. Our view was basically of a rooftop, with dirt and a rather unattractive surrounding area. It certainly was not what I would consider a city view.
The room itself was not terrible, but again, in my opinion, it did not meet the standard I would expect from a four-star hotel. Firstly, the wardrobe doors were broken. Secondly, the room was supposed to have a minibar, but there was only an empty refrigerator. The cleanliness was reasonably okay, but certainly not at the highest standard.
Overall, I felt that there were quite a lot of small things missing or not up to the standard I expected from a four-star hotel.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Location very close to the beach.
Rooms were tired and not well maintained. Our room was dark with minimal natural light. Parts of the toilet fixtures were broken. Aircon wasn’t working in our room though staff moved us to a new room promptly. Pool area is quite small and crammed with limited sun-bed availability at times. No food service by the pool after 3pm. Overall not worth the spend - better off spending less and getting value for money or spending a little more for something luxe. This place misses the mark.

Windows do not open, there is no balcony, therefore, very poor ventilation and lack of air, no place to dry your swimming shorts after beach, tiny rooms, the shower is open with no shower cubicle, so no matter how carefully you shower, water is then everywhere in the bathroom.

The location was grear
Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing, especially considering that this is a 4-star hotel.
The room was extremely small for two adults and a baby, and the bed was also too small for us. There was no balcony, which made it very difficult to dry and organize our clothes. The bathroom had no window, and the door was not a proper door, which offered very little privacy.
The swimming pool was also much smaller than expected, with only a few sunbeds available, so it was difficult to find a place to relax.
Breakfast was another disappointment. There was very little choice and, in our opinion, it was definitely not what we would expect from a 4-star hotel.
The hotel also has only one restaurant, and the menu offered just 4–5 choices, which made dining there quite limiting, especially when staying for several days.
Overall, we expected a much higher standard from a 4-star hotel and unfortunately would not consider this hotel good value for money.
