The room was a good size and well heated. Very good, clean bathroom. The owners were very happy to have our dog and cat. Useful to have a kettle - but very limited supplies so best to take your own.
The evening meal was very basic - soup followed by sausage pieces in ratatouille with plain rice and then a chocolate whip. There was no choice and no real opportunity to change what was on offer. The breakfast was also very limited. It was not self service and you had to tell the host exactly what you wanted before she handed it to you. We felt the catering was being done on a very limited budget. We had hoped for an atmospheric, cosy evening meal in a country French Auberge but there was an extremely large TV which dominated the dining area and it was on all the time. Throughout the meal there was a family with three unruly children who ran round, screamed, played bumper cars round the tables with the toys that were provided and the hosts (who were present throughout) did nothing to try to get them to behave. We left for our room as soon as we could. The accommodation is on a very busy road with large lorries that were driving through the night and we could readily hear them within the bedroom.

The hosts were so nice! We were offered 'aperitive' in the garden and had a chat with the hosts and the other guests. Felt like a family gathering!
