The breakfast was well stocked and high quality, and the location was excellent. Generally speaking the hotel is good value for money if you are purely looking for a bed and hot shower in close proximity to the slopes.
The rooms were only equipped with one pilow and a thin duvet, which could easily be solved. The entrance to the hotel, and even up into some of the rooms had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke.

If you are looking for simple and lower cost accommodation and a lovely ski resort, we would recommend. The staff at Hotel Valerie were very friendly and accommodating, it was lovely to chat to them. The bed was very comfortable and had more than enough room in the bedroom & bathroom. Location was good, only a very short walk downhill to the first lift. Lots of options for ski hire and a small supermarket where we picked up some snacks etc. Great for families who might want a quieter evening. Our balcony looked onto the very pretty church, the bells ring 3 times an hour from 8am - 10pm, caused no problems for us but might not be ideal for young children.
Our room was cleaned everyday but we did notice some grit on the floors when barefoot. The bathroom was a little outdated and needed a shower screen, it made it quite difficult to stand and shower. Our only other issue was the ski lockers. While there is a ski storage room, there are no individual lockers and no lock on the outside door onto the main street, meaning we took our boots up to the room so they weren't at risk of being taken. The locker room was heated but not enough to fully dry boots for the next morning. The evenings in the town were very quiet. We only found 3/4 possible restaurants so ended up going back to the same places a few times. It seemed that most people must be eating & drinking in Chalets or Hotels rather than going out in the evenings.

The location was so close to the slopes.
Breakfast was good. Choice of eggs, cheese,ham and cereals. Tea coffee and juice. Plenty of bread fruit and pastries.
The proprietor wasn’t at all friendly. More of how can I not help you !

Location is fabulous, great value for money,
Bar downstairs if you fancy a pint .
Clean , with a nice couple running the place
Hotel is alitte tired but we expected that due to the price.
Bar downstairs can something stop you going to bed before 10.30, but it's not open every night.
Walls are very thin, you hear every one moving around in there rooms .
Bed wasn't particularly comfortable and the pillows where big and square and very thin ,like something off a sofa.
No shower curtain in bathroom

Simple continental breakfast. More than adequate for a day's skiing.
Bathroom was a half bath with shower over. Unfortunately no shower curtain so had to sit in bath to try to avoid flooding the floor. Otherwise absolutely delightful stay.

A small hotel located almost in the center of town.
The French bread at breakfast was very delicious.
I booked a Mountain View room, but the view from the window was completely of the neighboring houses. Given the hotel's location, it's likely that none of the Mountain View rooms actually offer a view of the mountains.
Since there are no shared spaces, the small room is the only area available. It's fine for a short stay, but for a longer stay, the limited space may become an issue, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

The breakfasts were good and decent value for money. Certainly better than having to find somewhere to eat every morning. The ski room in the basement was perfectly functional too.
For the price point there wasn't really anything to complain about. The hostess was helpful and accommodating, the breakfasts were good and the rooms were kept clean. What more could we reasonably expect for the price?
