Wonderful
Excellent breakfast - the hotel provides a delicious breakfast and has more than the “standard French breakfast” available. The rooms and the bathroom are spacious, easily accessible at ground floor level and quiet. The beds are big and have firm mattresses and pillows. When possible, check as well the dinner at the restaurant – the chef is very accommodating, food is great and leaves nothing to wish for.
Parking at the hotel grounds can be tight, but street parking is also available.

Large room sizes. Friendly staff. Good location for our plans. Coffee machine. Restaurant next door was a highlight of our trip
Lighting in the room was very poor. Just a couple of mismatched LED spot lights and no natural light. Felt very stark and either very dark and shadowy in corners or too bright under the spots. Quite a stark room overall with basic functional furniture and décor. There was also a constant hum from an electrical junction box within the room.

We've used this hotel a couple of times and it's now our default hotel for visiting local attractions. Sadly we had to delay our trip for reasons of a family bereavement but they kindly cancelled without the usual cost allowing us to rebook a few weeks later.
The food here is exceptional but sadly the restaurant was shut the week we stayed.

Very friendly and helpful host. Spacious (handicapped access) room. Host had put heating on briefly which made a difference on a cool early Jun day.
For a similar price, I am enjoying a 3 star hotel in Germany that is far better equipped.

Lovely small hotel, not the greatest first impression but clean, tidy and the staff were excellent. Restaurant is superb value for money and whilst it's a set menu they do try to help if you have preferences.
Road a bit noisy and windows only open a small amount.
