Fa.\nNtasgirl tried to cheat me and collect city tax twice. I paid city tax for 20 nights.The afternoon that I arrived in full.
Every morning there was not enough fruit to go around for breakfast.And if you came late , you missed out. It was a dash in the morning for fresh food. Also , bachelor parties all week end , even though defined print says the hotel does not welcome them.

I chose Hôtel Edmond W in Lyon primarily for its excellent location, just a pleasant 15-minute walk from Gare Part-Dieu along wide, comfortable pavements. Despite its proximity to the station, the hotel sits in the charming Brotteaux neighborhood, an area full of character where you can find everything from renowned brasseries such as Paul Bocuse’s to lively bars around Place Juliette Récamier. The hotel’s own street, however, is quiet, giving it a welcoming, almost residential feel.
The hotel itself is small, with traditional architecture complemented by an original and tasteful décor. The standard rooms are well-equipped with all the necessary comforts, including a spacious bed with a very comfortable mattress and pillows. The bathroom is modern and generously sized, although I personally would have preferred a rain shower. Another appreciated touch is the in-room coffee and tea station.
Cleanliness is impeccable, and the air conditioning works perfectly—something especially valuable during warmer days.
Above all, what truly stands out is the professionalism and warmth of the reception staff. Delphine, in particular, went out of her way to ensure that my husband and I—both seniors—had a smooth and comfortable arrival, which we deeply appreciated.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Hôtel Edmond W for anyone looking to stay in a beautiful, comfortable, and well-connected area, with easy access not only to Gare Part-Dieu but also to the rest of the wonderful city of Lyon.

The young lady on reception was exceptionally helpful. She spent time showing us how to get to the local sites and always greeted us with a huge smile.

Loved its comfort and quirkiness - and the outdoor patio. Also the lounge area near reception has chilled water and a coffee machine. Room was very comfortable. Alice on Reception was fantastic - very friendly, helpful and gave great advice re what to see in one day walking around Lyon.

The location was perfect for train transport. The quirky decorations of the hotel. The staff were excellent. This was our second stay at this hotel and would happily recommend for a pleasant short stay
The mattress topper slide a little to the side but that was because we had single beds pushed together

Great location. Amazing helpful staff, they rang me the day before to check if I knew the way to the hotel from the airport, this is very thoughtful and I’m sure helps a lot of people. I felt I could approach them with any questions

Beautiful wallpaper
It was supposed to be a 4 star hotel and it felt like a luxury hostel. I was given the room 11, which is just by the lobby and beside a service room and the public toilet of the hotel. For 3 nights I could not sleep because of noises. I had to, for example, leave the room to ask that the kind cleaning person stopped his vacuum cleaner at 1am just by my door.
Traveling for work, I had little time and could barely find time to move, which would only be possible on my last night, which would have been useless given my 5am departure. The staff tried to be nice and offered me a small bottle of champagne on my last night. Very kind and yet it doesn’t compensate for sleepless nights on the ground floor.
