Perhaps the smallest and worst room in inventory. Hotels give these rooms to Booking.com clients. Like sleeping in shoe box. Just a small double bed surrounded by walls with no space around…

Awkward bathroom door. Be aware city centre from airport is 30km so taxi is expensive.

Fantastic staff. The young lady at breakfast was so helpful as was Aloise, Ethan and Michael. Breakfast was very good. Great variety to choose from. . Hotel Location is fantastic to access all tourist attractions.
We were on the 4th floor and couldn’t open the window. The air conditioning was not turned on. It was impossible to get a good nights sleep.

I had a very pleasant one-night stay at Mercure Lyon Centre Plaza République. The hotel’s biggest advantage is definitely its location. It’s easy to reach from the train station, and most of Lyon’s main attractions are within comfortable walking distance. The area is also full of restaurants and cafés, so there is always somewhere nice to eat just around the corner. The room was not particularly large, but it was perfectly adequate for two people. The bed was very comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. Everything was clean and in good condition. I didn’t try the hotel breakfast because there are many cafés nearby offering varied and often more affordable breakfast options compared to the typical hotel buffet. The bathroom layout was well planned and the shower was excellent — a proper, comfortable shower, which is always appreciated after a day of exploring. My interaction with the staff was minimal, but it was efficient, professional, and pleasant. I also noticed that the standard check-out time is 12:00, which is a nice touch for guests who prefer a more relaxed morning.
Nothing major, but the hairdryer kept switching off every minute, probably due to a built-in safety feature. It wasn’t an issue for me, but it was annoying for my daughter.
