In general, it was a very nice hotel with a comfortable room and extremely helpful front desk staff. The location was good quite close to the central upscale part of town.
Air conditioning was a bit noisy,
Loud music blaring in the breakfast room and lobby. This seems to be common in hotels now, but it's really awful.

Excellent location within walking distance of main sites and old Lyon. Mostly clean, good shower pressure. Friendly cheerful staff.
The shower with no doors meant showering was not the relaxing event I like it to be. Had to keep an eye on the floors to make sure they stayed dry. The $$ deposit was a surprise and should be more clearly disclosed.

The reception staff was lovely, providing local information and restaurant recommendations. The hotel is located in the central walking business district, we were able to walk most places or take a taxi. Our privilege room was spacious, clean and very comfortable with stocked refrigerator and complete breakfast. I would highly recommend.

Our room was very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location is excellent for exploring Lyon on foot. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby.
The bathroom shower got the whole floor wet.

Perfectly situated to explore Lyon. Only a short walk to the metro, 100s of restaurants, and shopping nearby. The staff were really the amazing thing about this hotel-- friendly, helpful and welcoming. The beds were comfy and our room was large. The shower was hot and of a good size. The room was immaculately clean, with daily room service. If not for the poor a/c unit in our room, I would stay here again. Our friends had a room and didn't have an issue. It was exceptionally warm in Lyon during our visit, so at a different time/season perhaps the unit would have cooled adequately.
We are grateful that the front desk staff brought one of the fans from their area to our room. It helped. But the air conditioning unit in our room was not powerful enough to cool the room on the hot summer days we visited. They offered to change room for our last day, but we were scheduled for a wine tasting event and could not make the switch within the hotel's time-frame, but we did appreciated the offer.

Location
It badly needs renovation. From the moment I stepped out of the elevator onto my floor and saw the old, worn-out carpets and poorly maintained walls, I knew this was pretty much a three-star hotel in a five-star location. Opening the door to my room pretty much sealed the belief. The carpet was in poor shape, the fixtures were mid-level, the bed was okay, there was no coffee machine, and it was just overall disappointing.
