The host, Franck has thought of absolutely everything and he is clearly a thoughtful soul who loves this building he has restored
The stairs could be a challenge for some….fortunately I am a spritely 69 and so not an issue pour moi!

Quaint old place. Street was quiet. Breakfast is already in the unit and frozen bread and croissants were very good.
Stairs were pretty intense so just know there are spiral stairs to the upper units.

The historical nature of the building was great. Our room was large and bed was incredibly comfortable. The unit had all expected amenities and more: well stocked kitchen and bath, power cords in case you forgot, breakfast breads and yogurts, juice and milk. The coffee machine was a true espresso machine filled w beans and ready to go! There was added curling iron even!
The access to the unit is up some tricky historic spiral stairs which some might find challenging.the condition of the halls could be updated with fresh paint and better lighting. But this did not matter once inside the unit!

We stayed in loge 3 which has a separate queen bedroom with 2 single beds in the mezzanine above - or you can use the sofa bed in the lounge/kitchen. Best location in Lyon - near metro and bars/restaurants of old Lyon. Frank the owner is super helpful and rightly proud of this historic building

Lots of thoughtful amenities, including a posh coffee maker. Modern stuff in an ancient building. We didn't mind the steps so much, but they would have been a challenge to anyone less physically capable. Location was great. Decent plumbing for an old place, also.
While the accommodations were very nice, 2 stars off for false advertising. There was no prepared breakfast - breakfast was an assortment of packaged stuff from the fridge. There was never any host as described. One time we saw someone talking to what looked like a guest on the first floor, but nobody ever even said Bonjour to us. Maybe the front door was on video monitoring, but it was never locked - combined with nobody visible. Small bed. No ventilation system. No hangers.

This centrally located apartment made getting around the old town easy.
Our apartment was on the fourth floor of a building with no lift. In addition, the narrow winding stairway was treacherous, even without carrying bags. Getting ourselves and our (not large) bags up to the room and situated left us tired and sweaty.

Good strong shower, good blackout blinds, no noise from the street etc into the room
There was a lot of noise from water coming down the pipes, and during the second night, we heard running water during the whole night from the bathroom pipes. I think this needs to be looked at for us to consider coming back. There is some box on the ceiling which lit up every time we moved - this was quite inconvenient at night! We also had to put a bag to block the light coming from the boiler in the kitchen. Generally too much light from gadgets and technolog in the room.

Fabulous location in the charming old city... minutes walk from all the key lications and the metro.
The appt. was very well organised and had all the appliances (including a great coffee machine and shower) you could wish for. The breakfast supplies in the fridge was a cute touch.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
No complaint- but note there is no air conditioner if coming in hot weather. There was a fan and that was fine for us.
We were top floor on small, windy staircase. Be aware if that is an issue.
Parking was very close, but expensive as was in the heart of the old city. Nothing to do with the property- but worth taking note.
