Great location. The room was a large, had a private bathroom, & A/C. The bed was comfortable.
There is a fancy coffee/latte machine in the lobby as well as a fresh & sparklling water dispenser. Both of these are really great touches!
The 'closet' was maybe 2' wide, & only had about 5 hangers. There were no dressers or shelves for our clothes. There was 1 suitcase rack. Neither of us unpacked anything. With a few additions, this room could have been more comfortable for travelers.

The water carafe, supposed to be one for each room, could of be great for the night but some customers need more than one so ended up very thirsty all night, reception should post a sign about it.

This was probably the largest room I’ve ever stayed in – we had the family room, and it was excellent. The room was well maintained, much better than what is usually found in Lyon. The price was very fair, and the location is unbeatable. Super recommended.

The room was much more spacious than we were expecting and since my partner is 6‘4“ tall, we appreciated a king size bed!
The location was fabulous – very close to a metro stop, lots of restaurants, boulangerie, points of interest, and shopping.
The hotel staff was very responsive, spoke excellent English, we’re very friendly, and made an excellent recommendation to a creperie we especially enjoyed.
We were on the third floor – which is the fourth floor for Americans – so I appreciated the elevator which fit two people and luggage or just three people. We used the air-conditioning just a little bit and that also worked fine.
My partner was quite disappointed that there wasn’t any kind of dresser. At least two racks for suitcases would help. I would’ve also appreciated a mini fridge in the room. There is a refrigerator that you can use by taking your things to the front desk and essentially checking it in and out.

I genuinely question how this hotel obtained its stars, as our experience was shockingly poor from start to finish.
The nightmare began at the lift lobby: a cramped, claustrophobic space barely large enough for one person with a small bag. There is only one lift serving the entire hotel — including housekeeping, food delivery, and guests — leading to absurd wait times. After waiting nearly 10 minutes, we gave up and carried our luggage down the narrow, uncomfortable staircase ourselves.
The room was nothing short of a disgrace. Outdated to the point of being unacceptable, the door didn’t close properly without significant force, and the windows — which also wouldn’t shut — exposed us to relentless street noise all night. Add to that the unbearable humming of an AC compressor or water pump overhead, and it became impossible to rest. The mattress was ancient, sagging, and utterly uncomfortable.
Breakfast was another insult. Despite arriving 45 minutes before the official end time, nearly everything was already gone — no cheese, no fruit, just a few scraps of scrambled eggs and a dry piece of bread. Clearly, it’s a “first come, first served” system with no consideration for guests who arrive even slightly later.
To make matters worse, when we raised these concerns with reception the next morning, they showed zero interest, offered no apology, and made no effort to resolve or even acknowledge the issues. That level of indifference is appalling.
Avoid this hotel at all costs — even sleeping in your car would be cleaner, quieter, and far more comfortable.
