- The room was very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable.
- Excellent breakfast and top-notch spa.
-The gym is fantastic, easily one of the best hotel gyms I’ve used.
- Friendly and helpful staff.
- Great parking options, including underground and EV charging spots.
- Convenient location, not far from the city center.
- WiFi was unreliable and kept disconnecting.
- No mini fridge in the room and poor sound insulation from the window.
- The building show clear signs of age and wear.
- Gym only opens with the spa, not early morning. I wished it was accessible 24/7 like many other hotels.
- Spa rule requiring speedo-style swimsuits for men felt unnecessary.
- EV charging spots sometimes blocked by regular cars as parking. This is unacceptable, the hotel needs to take action to keep these spaces available for charging only.

Very clean and spacious room. The pool/spa area is large and very nice. Breakfast was decent and the hotel restaurant for dinner was excellent. The staff at the restaurant are very kind and professional.
The elevators were not working properly, you either had to wait a very long time or just take the stairs. The staff did not really speak English, they insisted on French and when they tried to speak English it was very bad and we could not understand them. I understand they mostly have French guests but we found it a bit rude. The breakfast was okay but the coffee was very weak. The indoor pool/spa area gets very crowded at times.

The location for us was great.
They put us in a handicapped room. The room itself was spacious comfortable and clean, but the bathroom was horrible . An open shower, a toilet and a sink. Absolutely nowhere to put anything, not even a towel!
The grouting in the bottom of the shower was black, not inviting at all. The parking (payant) you had to go to the main hotel to get an elevator or go outside and walk down to the parking.

Nice clean room, big spa facilities, huge outdoor pool, yacht club vibe restaurants, good food at reasonable prices, free parking, nice breakfast set up.
Was obliged to buy Speedo style swimsuit, since even a short buts looser swimshort was not allowed... Don't follow the logic, since womans bathing suits have even more textile than my shorts... Strange..

My wife, my cat, and I stayed at Hôtel Lyon Métropole for my birthday, and it was an excellent experience. My wife had contacted the hotel in advance to arrange decorations for my birthday, and they did a fantastic job — the room looked absolutely amazing and made the stay really special.
One thing I’d suggest is that the hotel updates the photos of the rooms online. The real rooms are even nicer and more spacious than they appear on Booking.com, so it would be great for future guests to see that.
The staff were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, the parking garage was full, but they went out of their way to help me park on the hotel grounds instead, which I really appreciated.
The sauna and pool area was also a highlight: very clean, hygienic, and relaxing.
I will definitely return to this hotel and spa the next time I’m in Lyon — and I’m sure my cat will be happy to come back too!

Metropole hotel took my deposit and did not repay the full sum of it back, they have hidden fees which ended up costing more than the stay itself. PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY REFUND YOUR DEPOSIT. as they didn't do that for me

I have never stayed at a hotel that the restaurant was closed absolute craziness you have a captive audience why would you send your customers away on a Sunday and Monday.Also get with the times bathers are bathers ,so 1930s not all of us want to wear our underpants in the pool

Location was fine short taxi ride away from centre.
Night staff very pleasant
Deposit paid prior to arrival without permission. Then on arrival a further deposit.
Check inn staff women wasn't very helpful in terms of i formation regarding breakfast times/location, facilities etc
Outside pool wasn't operational (was only reason I had.picked this premises)
I've stayed in many hotels both 4 and 5 star however hotel seemed extremely tired. Room was a disgrace if I'm honest. Stayed in 708. Room was in dire need of a modern up to date face lift. At 6 foot 3 the room that the toilet is in was like a box lol was embarrassing if I'm honest. The breakfast on our stay was that of something you'd see in a shelter. Staff walked passed and me and my friend stood for 12 mins before we just sat down on our own. Quality of the food was poor. Chefs standing leaning over kitchen bench reading a paper lol the spa which on paper looks good is imo a scam. Additional charge of €45 PP per day
Was modern however my black swim shorts (hugo boss)are.not permitted lol cue to see a lovely swimwear shop at reception lol conedience lol another €20
Spa was ok very basic and most of the outside facilities didn't work when buttons pressed. Overall I wouldn't recommend staying here for the money that was spent.
