The hotel is in a good location near a pleasant square, a short walk from the old town but with easy access by bus to Part Dieu station. We were upgraded to a suite on the top floor (lift access) which was very spacious. Breakfast was good, especially the fresh croissants.

We loved the Celestins! Very comfortable rooms, great bathroom. Lovely slightly quirky decor with art on the walls. Breakfast was very good, mostly cold buffet but lots of choice and well worth it. Location was perfect, just a short walk from the metro and from the old town. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Nothing. The lift was tiny, max two people plus bags, but that was part of the charm of the place.

Everything was comfortable. The bed was comfortable, great shower, a good breakfast and the staff are great. They were very helpful when our train was late arriving - and very helpful and nice in general.

This hotel reminded me more of my first trip to France in the late 1960’s. The elevator looked like it was an add-in and was extremely small. You could tell that the bathroom was added in as well, based on how the room was configured. We literally had to send one person to the floor on which we were staying to take the luggage of the elevator that the other person had to load on the ground floor. Also, we had an old fashioned key that we had to carry around vs. being able to have a couple of key cards. As a result, we could not separate while exploring the city in case one of us wanted to return at a different time.
