Wonderful
It is exactly where you want to be. Access was immediate and plentiful. You’re 100 yds from the best square in Lyon and the best restaurants in town.
The staff was very attentive, knowledgable and friendly. Conner is a rock star with a great body of information to share and in an affable manner.
The room was small but so well organized as was the facilities but it all worked smoothly and no hitches. The area is busy and there can be late night noise (there was a lot) BUT the windows are well insulated and we were able to shut it all out when we wanted.
I read a number of negative reviews when I was booking this stay. There are those who love to complain, or believe everything should be a 4 seasons experience, clearly.
We stayed at 6 very nice places on this 3 week trip. This Terreaux grand Hotel was the BEST EXPERIENCE
for all the reasons I have stayed above.
The pool could have been warmer but it Twas nice and clean.

The property was very centrally located, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok.
A little small/close for two people that do not sleep together. Did not really like the relaxation pool. Very low roof and hard to get in/out of or walk around.

We enjoyed our stay in the Grand Hotel. The hotel is located in the middle of the action and the staff is welcoming, helpful and personable. When you stay here, be sure to take advantage of the unique swimming pool.

Wonderful location. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice shower (not to be taken for granted in France).
While perfectly understandable from a vicinity perspective (the breakfast area and the pool / spa are literally next to each other), it prevents guests from being able to enjoy the spa and pool before 2 PM. Still one must accept the bitter with the sweet!
