the spa is really nice. the grounds are beautiful. the building is really special. It is nice to look out at the city and feel above Lyon.
It was hard to get from the city/village to the hotel. Uber is expensive and the talk is robust.

Our arrival was seamless with private parking. The staff were welcoming and attentive to our needs. Our room exceeded our expectations…a good sized room and bathroom. Our buffet breakfast was more than adequate and we were spoilt for choice. All in all a great experience.

An absolutely gorgeous location and building, but the rooms are a bit stark - like a college dorm room
Almost impossible to get a straight answer out of the staff about simple things like cleaning. I was told repeatedly that my room had been cleaned when it clearly had NOT been, and it took the front desk person walking to my room to look for herself to validate that I was not telling tales - infuriating!

Dinner was good , staff were ok but no offer to assist getting bags from the car park, room was average for the hotel cost it seems to be playing more on historic building and location , breakfast was below standard for a hotel like this .

I liked the hotel building. The room was comfortable and clean. The spa area is very small and you had to ask for the pool to be opened if you wanted a swim. The breakfast costs 27 euro per person which is extortionate, so myself and my husband choose to go down to the city and get lovely breakfasts for quarter of the price.
All the staff were lovely and friendly except for the reception staff which I found very sulky, and wouldn't even say bonjour when we came into the hotel. When I was checking out today the receptionist was charging me for two breakfasts which we never had when I told her twice we didn't get any breakfast, she then proceeded to ring the kitchen staff to check if I had told the truth. Then she just said it was an error and no apology which I thought was very rude!! I find the French people so lovely and pleasant but the receptionists at this hotel were not one bit helpful. When I asked them to open the pool I felt they were annoyed at having to leave their desk to open it for me.

Really nice hotel, friendly staff, comfy beds
Great location for visiting the basilica.
We were aware but it is up a steep hill to the old town/ city but you can take the funicular easily, spa was a little smaller than I expected.
