Best Western Lyon was an amazing experience. The lady at check-in was warm, kind, and welcoming from start to finish, and the check-out process was smooth with plenty of smiles. The hotel is in a calm area, and the rooms were neat, with a nice view. The bathroom was clean, and there was 24/7 hot water for showers. I also appreciated the free-flowing water available for guests. A fantastic stay overall, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I chose this because of the BestWestern brand and it delivered. The hotel has an old look, almost like a seaside vibe, with small rooms and comfortable beds. The bathroom was very spacious and clean.
The walls were a bit thin, so you could hear your neighbours.

Location, clean
Lady at check in was rude. We arrived for check in and had to wait as she was counting some cash for ages. Then she checked us in and said we don’t have breakfast, that the parking is full. Asked if there is a good restaurant nearby and she said they are all closed as it bank holiday. All negative. We went out and found plenty of restaurants open. Room was really small

It’s central and has a lovely garden in the middle. Also has a car park which is safe so we did not have to worry about that
We stayed on a Saturday so it was noisy at point but I think it’s because it was Saturday otherwise very quiet location

Very good breakfast, wide range of food items. Comfortable beds. 20 minute walk to Place Bellecourt and 10 minutes to Part Dieu train station. Restaurants nearby. But in a pinch, a very good supermarket next door.
Room given was above smokers' corner and smoke would waft into open window.

Comfortable lounge. Very helpful staff. Some of the signage was confusing, like the directions to the parking garage and the signs for the hotel parking spaces were very small. We missed them and parked in wrong space.
Be aware if you rented anything but a small car, find another place to park. It took a very long time to maneuver our 5 passenger car out.
The breakfast was excellent. A real value for a buffet with eggs, fresh orange juice, breads, waffles and real maple syrup.
There are two hotels that share the lobby. The Crequi has smaller halls and rooms. The Bonnel is larger and more expensive. There is a shared Fitness room which was good.
The location is great. We walked to the train station, restaurant and museums.
The room was a little worn. The TV was an older model which didn’t support casting. The WIFI worked unreliably.

Good location - around 20 minutes walk from Lyon Part Dieu railway station, as well as pretty close to the historical center of the town. Friendly staff. The hotel has nice lobby. Room was clean. Overall, the hotel is a good option to stay for 1-2 nights.
Thin walls - I heard noise from the neighbors. Non-stable wifi connection - disconnections appear from time to time and automatic connection is not applicable (i.e. every time when I was returning to the hotel, I was required to fill the register form to connect). Clean services was not accurate.
