Beautifully conserved and appointed historic building. Great location. Great swimming pool. Nice spacious rooms.
Restaurant not open on the days that we stayed and bar closed at 8-20 pm.

It was cold & they said they were not allowed to put the heating on - the write up said the suite had a king size bed but it was a double - the write up said there is a restaurant which was closed - the write up said there was an executive lounge which there wasn’t - the write up said there was a swimming pool - which was shut - do not bother staying here - there are far better places

Higher rooms accessed by stairs with worn carpets and no lighting. Wifi poor. Window screen needs repair.

The staff are delightful and always approachable and helpful. The dinner menu provides choices away from the standard offerings and the food is excellent. All meals are served in a character dining room.

I loved the heated outdoor pool. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The receptionist was lovely. Our meal was superb and the waiter very helpful. And great value for the price compared to other châteaux.

Stunning property in a lovely location.
The decor, paintings, furniture and fittings were all beautiful. The room was very quiet.
This might seem picky but… a 4 star Chateau with superb facilities, magnificent views, amazing staff, incredible dining room & bar should NOT have just 2 thin walled, single use paper cups in the room for tea & coffee!! Not even a spoon, just a few wooden sticks to stir your drink with. Basically, the facilities to make a drink in the room were the worst that I have ever experienced, in 24 countries across 4 continents, to be honest, it would have been better if they hadn’t even bothered to put anything in the room. Management responsible for this needs to attend a course on providing in room hospitality.
The bathroom layout needs redesigning (room 15), the shower in the bath is awkward and difficult to use.

Breakfast was not up to expectations considering the cost per person for a hotel of this standard. Children were running around the buffet service area and getting in the way of guests carrying food. The evening dining experience was very pleasant as were the dining room staff and receptionists
China cups rather than the awful paper cups on the service trays in the rooms were not acceptable for a hotel of this quality. The glass tables in the lounge next to the bar were not cleaned with ring marks all over. There are cobwebs and curtain pelmets needing adjustments in the same room.
