I booked through booking.com and I was staying a night because my partner and I were passing through and just wanted to crash for the night. I am a genius member so I get a few perks and this hotel was part of that. I booked and immediately messaged that we would be arriving in 15 min on booking. However, I got no reply. After this, we decided to still go because I booked. So upon arriving at the place the staff (a male, race black, around the age of 50-70) informed us that he has no room availability. My partner told him we had a reservation. Upon hearing this he let us in (which was nice I guess) then he informed us he is not staff but a security guard and he could not check us in because he couldn’t find us in the system. Although I showed him multiple times my reservation he still made us wait almost 1 hour before he got a call to allow us to check us in. By this point it was already almost 1.00 am (we arrived a little before 00.00 at the reception desk). He did not find my reservation on booking but I had to write my name and lastname and a copy of my ID (which is common and lawful). The amenities were good and everything was up to par so definitely would recommend this place. However because we were driving to Spain we wanted to go early in the morning, and thus went to check out. We got the same security man at the desk. He would not allow us to leave. He accused my partner of us wanting to leave without paying. I understood that through booking I am paying for the reservation so I was concerned that I would be double charged if I pay at the desk. I asked the lady this question “if I pay by card now is it okay?” She simply answered very rudely “not it is not okay”. I was confused but also taken aback because I did not understand why she was being hostile if I was just trying to come up with a solution and also just trying to pay for the room. However, after saying that. The lady (the real receptionist) got the atm machine and charged my card.

This is the motel, not the hotel. Clean enough and nice location.

Very old Towels were not properly fresh I did not took a shower. Too noisy in the night.

Room was very noisy from occupants upstairs. No heating during our stay, towels didn’t dry well as no bathroom heating & smelt musty. It was awful. Under the flight path of airport so plane noise was very noticeable.

The breakfast was non existent. We arrived for breakfast early before 8am. There was practically NO breakfast left, with items having run out. Every table was dirty and remained so even after our comments to the reception. The receptionist (morning of 12 May) was rude and not available at first for clients as he was outside vapping. When we enquired to breakfast items he basically said nothing available. He would not refund us for the NON breakfast. He was rude and on his phone when many guest complained, telling us we were not his manager. He had a terrible attitude to his work.

A small fridge, a microwave and TV that could accept Chromecast or a Firestick would take it to the next level.

Two small improvements : a fridge and a TV that you could cast to or a smart TV with apps eg Netfix

We could hear the noise from the road nearby The room was cold and no way to control the temperature (ferbuary). The breakfast buffet was ok but a little pricey 13€
