Proximity is superbe (close to restaurants, shopping, and beach); efficient housekeeping and concierge service; excellent breakfast (lots of varitey and super friendly staff). Enjoyed the historical setting.
The hotel infrastructure needs to be renovated. We had a prestige room, which in fact was a very ordinary size. Agree with previous comments regarding the complicated air conditioning system which does not provide relief when hot. The pool is way too small for a hotel of this size.

We enjoyed the facilities especially the bar and the La Pavilion restaurant.
Minor criticism was that our room wasn't cleaned on the Friday.

Well appointed and very welcoming.
Only disappointment was the concierge was unable to trust us with a phone charger cable. I would have throught this would have been a minor issue especially as they cost next to nothing on Amazon.

We thought the room and bathroom were very well fitted out - seating, wardrobe, tea and coffee making, space to store things. I brought birthday flowers and staff immediately brought me a vase and scissors. Liked the daytime snacks available from the bar. Hotel location perfect for walking everywhere in the town.
Some disappointments at breakfast. No muesli, cooked food looked unappetising.

It was a great experience and did not disappoint

- Stunning and iconic building full of history.
- 5 star service
- Quiet and calm environment
- Conference room was turned into a Ping Ping & Baby Foot room during the holidays which we appreciated (especially when it was raining outside)
- Lovely drinks menu at the bar
- Some very kind and attentive staff
- Beautiful swimming pool
- Petit VIP (the children loved it and wanted to return)
I will return and recommend to others. :-) Some areas to improve
- Petit VIP did not follow the timetable (it would have been nice to have made Mocktails and for the children to do the Chinese themed activities)
- I couldn’t get a SPA reservation at all (but I understand I didn’t book in advance)

Everything , the staff on checking in 8 separate rooms were fast and efficient, Maxine also bought a professional but humourus side to the proceedings, excellent
I think Breakfast was in a temporary function room, it was a little sanitary and the food spread out a lot, but quality great ( sorry but you french cant do baked beans !!!!! )
