Wonderful
It’s a really charming hotel, located in the city center. It definitely needs restoration but our room was clean and spacious. We only spend 1 night so for us was perfect. They also have a parking lot. Breakfast was good, with plenty of options. The personnel was really welcoming.
The bathroom is quite dated, it could definitely have some improvements.

I ARRIVED LATE AND THE LADY RECEPTIONIST WAS FRIENDLY AND CARRIED MY BAG AS I HAD TROUBLE WITH THE STAIRS. TRULY EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. SHE SHOULD BE GIVEN SPECIAL THANKS.
BATHROOM NEEDED SPECIAL CLEANING-THE TILES HAD DARK MOLD AND REQUIRED NEW GROUT.

De vibe of the hotel was excellent. Nice historic and French. Very friendly staff. Top location at the Loire river (tip: always book a room with Loire river view, my tip, it's worth it!). Breakfast was also great. And it was in the city center almost, so a few minutes walk, along the Loire, to all you need
Maybe fix the rather deep hole when accessing the parking field from the gate-driveway, to make it more even.

Decor was dated, peeling paint in bedroom carpet VERY threadbare.

Bed linen and mattress were extremely comfortable. Super location on the banks of the Loire. Very convenient free on site parking.
The heating was broken in the hotel, radiators didn't work. Alternative space heaters 'had all been given out'. Decor in corridors very tired, paint and plaster peeling / cracking.

The shower didn't have a holder for the shower head. Bar didn't have any beer. There is no soap in the bathroom. No food in the evening.

the rooms were large and had a choice of 2 bathrooms in a room for 3 people! beautiful waterfront views!!!
I had to sleep on the sofa bed-as I was sharing with friends . it was very uncomfortable- a very thin mattress with the bars on the bed poking through or the mesh being collapsed in other places!

This is an older hotel, close to the center of town but also looking upon a serene Loire river view. The staff was friendly and the breakfast had a nice assortment. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable but the hotel does feel somewhat dated. This was nice in that our room and bathroom were bigger than in newer hotels, but less good in that the hallways had various steps up and down that could trip you up.
The Wifi security was kludgy and outdated. Using wifi on an ipad or iphone required connecting to the access point, opening a browser window and telling the browser to ignore a various security warnings about being redirected to a login site to provide your name and email. Every other EU hotel has a system where this browser redirection pops up when you check wifi under the ipad settings. Once connected, the wifi did work fine.
