Exceptional
Absolutely a delight. One tram stop from the train station and beside the Dijon Arch to old town attractions. Outstanding facilities. Very cool AC during the heat wave. Comfortable room and beds. Amazing spa with pool, sauna, and hammam with very generous hours day and very late evening. The hotel offers free e-bike use for 3 hours and is close to the Botanical Gardens and Promenade L'Ouche that follows the canals on the walking/bike trail to Lac Kir and neighboring villages. Superb staff - especially Hugo who walked us to the garage level for the bikes. E-bikes were very good quality with excellent maintenance and torque to assist on uphills. It was a high point of our stay and we used them the first full and last half day. We appreciated the noon checkout for a swim after biking and tram ride to the train station. I can't say enough about how wonderful Hotel Vertigo and staff are for a luxurious stay in Dijon.

Disappointing
It was clean and had a good location
The staff was not customer friendly. The bar staff and most of the front desk staff was standoffish. Example. I bought two lattes at the bar in the morning and they were cold and small and over priced. I asked them to heat them up and they said they couldn’t. When I checked out I told the desk person about the disappointing coffee, a young woman with
huge glasses and long hair, and she didn’t apologize or comp me.
The rooms although clean were laid out horribly for guest practicality. Whoever designed the rooms was only thinking of making it look cool and not practical. Rooms were too small, poorly laid out with a huge mirror tv you can barely walk around, half the counter was taken up with mini bar food, the closet was impractical, the tiny bathroom area had a weird faucet. The door way had an exterior step up on the bottom that you tripped on every time you left. I will never ever stay in the property again. It was not user friendly. Also the elevator is pitch black. Being cool is not as important as consumer user friendly. Also. The weight room was ridiculous with no free weights. Just a couple aerobic machines and some weird weight machine that was useless.

The hotel is in a good location in the centre of town with secure parking for my motorbike. A good choice of restaurants close by. Facilities were good, there is even a smoking room indoors. Staff very attentive. The room was good and spacious.
The hotel gives the impression of being larger, but the breakfast area only had 10 tables. The lighting in the room is unusual - unless you like LED strip lights round the bed. The shower was disappointing, low water pressure.
I have stayed in hotels of the same standard for a far lower price on the same holiday

The location of the hotel was great to visit downtown Dijon.
The spa area (pool, hot sauna and hammam) was fun.
The staff was not overly welcoming. Just basic service. Could be more upbeat and welcoming.
