This is the most charming place. Our room had a little balcony where we could see the mountains and hear the stream and smell the woods! It was a perfect place to feel like you are in nature but with all of the comforts of a warm shower and flushing toilet!

15 minutes walk from downtown Chamonix. Next to railroad, so expect trains passing-by starting around 6 am. Decent breakfast, a bit old-fashioned room (wood, particular lay-out).
Noise of the nearby railroad. Try to have a room at the other side of the building.

The location was excellent. The rooms were spacy and the beds were superb (all four!). It was great waking up, how else, with a beautiful mountain view!
Due to roadworks the main road leading to the hotel was closed. We arrived at 22:00 in Chamonix, at which time no one is present at the desk (which is regular for this hotel and was communicated to us). Navigating with Waze, we were routed through this road, which was not marked as closed. Additional entries to this road along the track were closed as well, which we tried to no avail. Finally we asked a local from a caf for help and only then we managed. Hence, it took us one full hour at 23:00 at night in the small village Chamonix to reach the hotel. Well, it is obviously not the fault of the hotel that a road leading to it was closed, but it would be a great service if a next time of roadworks, they would check it out and communicate to guests how to get there.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good facilities, nice clean room with comfortable bed. Plentiful parking. Quiet location on edge of town. Onsite restaurant but quiet 30 min walk into town if required.

Great hotel in the forest, but the bus stops a few feet away and takes you into town in minutes. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good and parking was easy.

Let me preface this with the fact that this was a late booking and it was an older couple, one over 60.
The staff were really nice and very helpful. The shower was excellent, and it is a pleasant 20 minute walk to Chamonix.
Where to begin. Our room, on the second floor, overlooked a railway track, +/-10m below the balcony as well as the local main road, +/-15m. To say the room was basic is a little bit of an understatement, the pillows were really not too good. If you are a light sleeper, be warmed - LOL
To minimize the noise, trains and cars, we had to close the windows and the shutters so the room got a bit hot.
I am sure the room and place in general would be fine for young folks after a day out on the slopes or after a day on the bike.
Oh, and it was quite expensive for what you get, albeit it Chamonix is generally expensive.
