Hotel was closed. why? no one knows...Owners refused to arrive to open. Total ghost house. We called and were told by a french person they will "send us instructions" by email how to open the hotel and where to find some keys. The location is AFTER town center and not in a walking Distance. Avoid BY ALL MEANS THIS PLACE. TOTALLY.

Wonderful
Really lovely room, super stylish and sophisticated design. Very comfy huge bed, the bathroom was also quite stunning. Had dinner in the restaurant and there food and service were excellent.

Nice location just 5min drive from the center, very quiet area and a wonderful view of the mountains. Very happy with the room size and bathroom had a balcony with the Mont Blanc view. Restaurant serves delicious food and the attention is wonderful.

The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was fabulous. We loved the mirror which had a built in TV. The balcony looked directly at the Mont Blanc Massif (Room9). The hotel was incredibly clean and classy. The staff were attentive and worked hard to ensure our stay was first class. The breakfast was really enjoyable but you only got eggs and bacon if you wanted hot food.

The room is spacious and the bathroom is luxurious.
The food in the restaurant is good.
Our room was on the road side and there was traffic noise.

Perfect location for Le Flgre, the cable car which is less than 2 minutes walking.
The design is gorgeous, the dining area is well thought out, and interiors of the room fantastic. Super comfortable beds, great shower, very beautifully designed bathroom and the smaller fittings in the room also have very thoughtful designs.
AC works very well.
Breakfast options are severely limited, the breakfast hours are stated as operating until 10;00am however by 9:00am most items were completely finished and they made no effort to replenish. Given that the options are also few its disappointing. There were two hot dishes, 3 cheese selection, one bread, two pastry, fruit bowl and yogurt. There was salmon but they never replenished. The quality of the items are high, but for such few options I would expect them to be more proactive about replenishing at that price point.
Overall service is very slow and not attentive, assume you will always wait a while before being served whenever you sit down.
No elevator, its a small property but something to consider for future guests if this is a necessity, the hotel has 11 rooms in total.
Noise is also a concern. The helicopter pad is very nearby and will be in service from early hours which disturbed our sleep.

Loved the room facing mt blanc! It is so worth the extra money, with the balcony and all. Lovley room with all you need!
The first days we also got crossaints for free in the morning, in the reception- a very nice treat.
Very nice location outside chamonix.
Traffic noise! Roads on all sides of the hotel. The hotel cant fix that, its just how it is.

This was our second stay at Hotel Le Castel. We loved the size and view from our room so much that we booked again this year, however didnt pay enough attention to the room details. This time round our room faced the main road with constant traffic instead of the wonderful balcony with Mountain View we had last time. Highly recommended if you room goes out the way where the restaurant terrace is, if youre on the other side its just noisy and quite stressful. Plus the room was super small but I understand that was down to the room category.
