Staff were fantastic. Everyone, reception, bars and the cleaners just so friendly and helpful.
Toilet in room tiny!! Room very dark. Not enough space for clothes. Very little cupboard space.

The hotel location was just lovely - it's by the river with a nice view of the castle and old walled city. Beds were comfortable.
Room access was tricky with sensitive mechanisms - we were able to open the door with our room card the first time, but the following times, we couldn't. Gentleman at the reception insinuated that we tinkered with or changed the lock settings (which we didn't even know about and therefore did NOT do). He probably just didn't want to be troubled to open our door himself. Also - the toilet was ridiculously tiny by any standard.

The place has an awful sewage smell both in the bathrooms and even worse in the lobby hallway heading to the second elevator. The WORST I ever experienced all three days I was there. Ironically, the wall at the end of the hall is painted with the word TOILETS. By the time you reach the second elevator, it smells like you are in a medieval prison sewer.

Advertised accessibility for disabled guests, but there was no lift from the underground garage to the hotel. Disabled guest had to climb stairs with the suitcase. No good for reduced mobility. Trying to find the hotel took an hour, the one way system wouldn't let us get to the hotel. The only way to access is through an alley which wasn't on the sat nav. They advertised a restaurant but it wasn't open for 28% of the time. Didn't open on a Sunday or Monday. No restaurants nearby. Had snacks for evening meal.

Good location. I liked that hotel has a private parking. Big modern room. View to the castle from the room - at night it looks beautiful in highlights.
Was a little bit scary to use shower as it was easy to wet floor nearby. Air conditioner worked strange first time (permanent and a bit load).

The location is the real highlight — right by the river with stunning views of the old city, and just a short walk to the modern center. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable, though on the smaller side. The reception and entrance area could use a refresh, but overall, a great stay in a perfect spot for exploring Carcassonne.

Has the best view of the city, you have the castle just in front of you. Has a very nice restaurant where you can have dinner or happy our. Don’t miss the roof top, takes your breath away. I felt asleep watching the castle will be unforgettable. Thank you all the stuff to make our stay so comfortable.We could communicate in English and Spanish.
The toilet I hope they fix it is too tiny.

The price; the. Balcony; the view - classic view of the walled city.
The room was tiny and very dark with dark greenish black wall paint - you could not see in the desk area at all. The decor was ultra modern with very low chairs in the dining room or high bar type seating. The breakfast lacked fruit except a canned fruit salad in syrup. In the room there was one tiny just above footstool chair and one desk chair and one metal chair and a useless waste of space table on the balcony. The. Toilet room and wash room were on opposite sides of the entryway; the toilet room was painted in the dark greenish color and had no ventilation. The washroom had a shower over tub with high sides and narrow so very hard to get into.

The room was a really good size, a comfy bed. The bathroom was spacious and had a good supply of toiletries and lotions which was nice. The views from the restaurant on the 4th floor and the rooftop were really good. Staff were very nice and helpful.
Two days in a row there was no soap in the customer bathrooms on the ground floor (we used our own hand sanitiser). The TV seemed to cut out French channels after a few minutes and force us into a sign-in view for paid-for entertained (Netflix, Amazon etc), rather than let us watch the local channels.
