The person who ran the front desk, served breakfast and I assume did everything and probably owned the place was a lovely person.
You instantly like the guy and I feel bad about not giving the hotel a rave review but we have to be honest.
The rooms are very small and the hotel in general is in need of a revamp. Its just that little bit too far from the main attraction of the town.
For the price we paid I would expect more.
It feels like the owner is holding out to squeeze as much as he can from the hotel before I retires or sells it.

It was beautifully maintained by the couple who owned it, well worth a visit, and there is a shuttle bus just opposite to take you to the airport.
Little bit further out of the centre than we would have liked, but we were aware of this on booking, so no complaint and it was easy to walk everywhere

Lovely old building, great location for getting to Carcassonne Airport as the shuttle bus picks up just across the road. 5 minute walk to good restaurants in the commercial centre or Carcassonne, 20 minute walk to the Medieval Cit.
Very clean and comfortable bed.
Decor is quite outdated and the bathroom would benefit from modernising.
Check in is from 15.00, we arrived at 14.00 hoping to leave our luggage if our room wasnt ready but were surprised to find the door locked with a sign saying closed until 15.00. Although there was a telephone number to call, our French is not good so we had to wait half an hour outside until the door was unlocked. In hindsight we should have contacted the hotel first to ask if we could arrive before 3pm, but we have never had this problem at any other hotel and would expect a hotel of this price to be open all day.

Absolutely fabulous owner & family. Friendly,helpful & accommodating. Very comfortable & relaxed atmosphere. Location for town access, 10 minutes walk.
Busy road junction, that could be quite noisy.
