The location was excellent. The short walk to the Carcassonne old town was very important to us as we had elderly people in our group. The pool was an added plus. Breakfast was very good and the staff was exceptional

The hotel consists of two parts: the four-star chateau and the three-star Hotel Montmorency. The latter is located in a small, low-rise building across the street. We booked a room at the hotel.
The hotel’s location is perfect: the chateau’s terrace overlooks the castle, and it’s fantastic to sit there whether in the evening or during the day. The castle entrance is 50 meters from the hotel.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the drinks we ordered were fine. Breakfast was served on the château’s terrace; it wasn’t a buffet, but rather portions were served individually, though we didn’t go hungry. We ordered soft-boiled eggs, but they weren’t brought out during the half hour we spent having breakfast.
Parking is available in the hotel’s own parking lot, which is easily accessible, and the fee is reasonable.
The hotel has a pool and balneotherapy services, but we didn’t try them.
The three-star hotel leaves much to be desired: the rooms are very small—my daughters were presumably given the smallest room in the hotel; they couldn’t even open a suitcase because the space next to the bed was so narrow—and the cleanliness is questionable. The room wasn’t ready at 3:00 p.m.; we saw the housekeepers toss the freshly made pillows and blankets onto the dirty carpet. The common hallway is very narrow, and the staircase leading to the upstairs rooms is so narrow that it’s barely possible to carry suitcases up it. The room design is quite dated, reminiscent of the ’80s; the air conditioner is old and noisy, so we preferred to open the window. The bathroom was clean and spacious.
I should add that even the much more expensive hotels located inside the castle didn’t receive higher ratings than this one, but in terms of value for money, this hotel is only worth the price if you take into account how close it is to the Carcassonne Castle. The cramped room, the outdated and worn-out furnishings, and the hotel’s lack of cleanliness detracted from the experience. If you’re not staying here for a long time, it’s obviously bearable, but honestly, for nearly 200 euros per room, I expected much more.

Service - asked reception to book a taxi to the train station & the time was probably a little lost in translation as the collection time wrong but the reaction of staff and particular the manager to rectify the issue was unbelievable (he basically ran away and got into his car ) , hence we missed the train

Couldn’t find a better location and the property was so well designed and decorated. But the staff were fantastic! I would stay here again without a doubt. And make sure to try the spa - added bonus but also a wonderful amenity to the property!

Room was ridiculously small. There was no place to put luggage or clothes, no chair in the room, just a small, rickety table with two ottomans. The closet had hangers too low to hang anything but a shirt, and "theft-proof hangers" are an insult in a three star hotel. The safe took up any other usable room in the closet. The bathroom was so small, the commode could not be used without knocking the paper roll off , and could only be reasonable used sitting at an angle.

It was super close to the castle and beautiful views. The decoration was modern and staff was very friendly. Excellent breakfast too.
The room we stayed had a very smalll bathroom. The toilet and the shower were separated and it was a little claustrophobic. I saw another room that was bigger so if I’ll stay there again I would go for a bigger room. But it was only one night so it was ok.

The perfect location just outside the walls of Carcassonne. Friendly and welcoming staff, clean room with a private terrace and wonderful morning breakfast. The spa is definitely worth the trip alone. I had a lovely experience there.

Perfect location, right at the entrance to the medieval citadel. Nice, clean rooms. Parking available at the hotel. Bar open up until late in the night. Everything was good.
It is a nice hotel, but nothing special. We had an error with the booking - our fault, but the hotel didn’t help although they could have + their call center said they would. I feel like not everything should be about how to squeeze more money from your clients.

bathroom was not clean at call, in particular the corners thereof! - Property should not advertise that they have EV charging capabilities with nothing ‘household plugs. These were good 5-7 years ago but times mooved ahead and hoteliers are now offering real charging facilities 11-22KwH.

Location is wonderful. Staff are charming. Intimate hotel where you feel at home. Simple but tasty breakfast. Lovely spa.
The weather! Just kidding. That was not the hotel’s fault but we did really miss being able to lounge by the pool all day like we did last time.
I upgraded to a slightly bigger room and the bathroom area was a bit tired looking. I think it could do with a little update. The shower didn’t drain properly but I forgot to report that.

Ive stayed here a few times before as the location and the pool area are great and a nice place to sit in the sunshine and while away a few hours with a glass of rose if the weather is good.
Certain aspects are disappointing for me. No kettle or fridge in the room and no room service either so its not easy to request a morning cup of tea or coffee unless you wish to take this in the dining area or take back to the room. Breakfast again is very disappointing.....I expect a good fresh croissant in France at the very least but they seem to be of the frozen variety and fruit is not pre-prepared so not so appetizing. The indoor pool is also only available if you book a treatment.

The location was great. The room had a/c and a clothes dryer you could extend across bath to dry swimsuits. The big jug of apple juice at breakfast. The pool was nice.
The photos on the website gave a false impression, there are no grounds or outdoor space to speak of really. The breakfast was far too expensive for what it was. The pool didn't open until 10am or something so you can't do a 6am early swim. The pool is pretty busy too. I expected there to be grounds where you could sit outside, but there is literally a couple of benches by the entrance. The music they played at outside dining area was loud and awful. The staff weren't that friendly. The car parking was very expensive.

The airco was pointed at your face/bed in the room. For people with Astma a bad choice.
