The setting inside the medieval walls was fantastic! The staff was excellent. I would like to especially thank the gracious, charming and highly efficient Celine. She showed us around on arrival and helped us with dinner reservations and countless other matters.
Despite 2 windows which gave fantastic views, our room was dark. More lighting would do wonders. The phones weren’t working properly.

Close to everything inside the walls
Bed was not comfortable- mattress needs to be replaced. Exterior lights shine inside windows and window covering does not shield light making sleep difficult. Staff not very responsive. There are other hotels inside walls that are a better value and looked very nice.

Beautiful spacious suite with great amenities. Spectacular views from multiple windows. Dined at La Barbacane one night. The dinner, in general, was outstanding. (see below) The maitre de maison was very gracious. Guillaume (William) at the desk/concierge was also very gracious, helpful and charming. They are both valuable assets of the hotel and restaurant.
An excellent breakfast to start the day!
We had the Menu Signature at La Barbacane. It was excellent with the exception of the pigeon which was essentially raw, tough, and lacked flavor and seasoning. It is the course featured in a photo on the website which is puzzling.
In the beautiful bathroom, the lighting for the vanity is very harsh.

The garden and Pool were stunning. it was a nice place to enjoy a beverage, and watch the people walking along the castle ramparts. The location within the castle walls cannot be beat.
Our room was not in the main hotel, but just across the street in a similarly old, but less appealing building.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Medieval city of Carcassonne! It was a wonderful experience and the hotel was very nice. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend staying inside the city, there are lots of shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good also
We had dinner the restaurant at the hotel on our first night, and though it is a very nice restaurant, we didn't really like the menu, and really struggled to find something to eat and found it very expensive. We cancelled our booking for the next night as there a lot of other places to choose from and we had a lovely dinner that didn't cost a fortune at another great place not for to walk. I definitely would not take children there!

Location, beautiful setting in the heart of medieval city - very professional and welcoming staff - elegant, stylish.
Comfortable beds and quality toiletries in bathroom.
We stayed in a villa - very nice but would have preferred to stay in hotel as to not have to cross public areas to access pool, bar and restaurant.

Wonderful
The service was excellent, from the pickup at the hotel parking lot to the welcome once we arrived. The room was large and had a great view, and the location is super convenient for anyone looking to explore the castle!
