Serious Dissatisfaction with My Stay at JW Marriott Cannes
I recently stayed at JW Marriott Cannes and, unfortunately, experienced the worst reception and concierge service I have ever encountered.
Prior to my stay, I contacted your concierge team via email to request an airport transfer. They asked for my flight details, which I promptly provided. However, I received no further communication and no transfer was arranged. As a result, I was left waiting at the airport for over an hour, which made the beginning of my trip unnecessarily stressful and frustrating.
Upon arrival at the hotel, I again approached the concierge team for assistance with restaurant and activity reservations in the city. Regrettably, they were completely unhelpful. I received no response—positive or negative—to my requests, and ultimately had to make all arrangements on my own via the internet. This level of service is wholly unacceptable from a prestigious brand such as JW Marriott.
Additionally, I was very disappointed to find that the hotel lacks a beach, which was not clearly communicated.
The breakfast service was also extremely poor in both quality and variety. It was particularly disappointing to be charged extra even for something as simple as avocado—an unreasonable and unprofessional policy for a supposedly high-end establishment.
Furthermore, despite staying in a suite, the overall atmosphere felt more like a guesthouse than a luxury hotel. The lack of professionalism was glaring, and the overall experience was far from what one would expect from a property under the JW Marriott name. To make matters worse, I was called three separate times regarding check-out, which was both excessive and intrusive.
Given all these issues, I will not consider staying at JW Marriott Cannes again, nor will I recommend it to anyone in my network. I hope this complaint will be taken seriously and that your guest experience is brought up to the standard worthy of your brand’s reputation.

Dear JW Marriott Cannes Team,
I have been visiting the Cannes region every year for the past 15 years and have stayed in almost all of the major hotels in the area. This was my first time staying at the JW Marriott Cannes. I must say, the rooms, cleanliness, and overall quality were excellent.
However, in my 40 years of life, I have never experienced such a poor concierge team at any hotel.
To begin with, after I made my reservation through Booking.com, I sent an email to the hotel. It took five days to receive a reply. Later, I shared my phone number and flight details for the airport transfer request, but no one responded, and no one came to meet me at the airport. When I returned to the hotel and asked about it, they claimed they hadn’t seen the message — even though the email system showed it had been successfully delivered.
I would also like to share another incident: during the day, I asked the concierge for help with beach club reservations. They told me that there was no availability anywhere in Cannes, and said there was no need to call. However, when I walked out of the hotel and went to Lucia Beach directly across the street, they told me they had availability and immediately arranged a spot for me.
Once again, I must emphasize that I have never encountered a worse concierge service anywhere in the world. If you’re planning to stay here, make sure you handle all your bookings and arrangements yourself — do not rely on the concierge.

We had a fabulous time in Cannes staying at the JW Marriott in Cannes. The Hotel was superb offering great accommodation, superb location and the staff were excellent!! A special mention to the reception staff who were extremely helpful and a special mention to Jessica who went out of her way to make my Birthday weekend a memorable experience!!
