The location
Excellent Location, but Extremely Disappointing Stay
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The only real positive thing we can say about it is that the location was excellent — central, convenient, and within easy reach of everything.
We knew in advance that we were booking a simple city hotel, and we certainly weren’t expecting luxury. However, there is a huge difference between a basic hotel and one that fails to meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality.
The cleanliness was absolutely unacceptable. The entire room felt dirty and dusty. The bed linen did not feel freshly changed, and the bathroom, particularly the toilet, did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was an overall feeling of poor hygiene that made our stay extremely uncomfortable.
From the moment we arrived, the hotel Wi-Fi was not working. We were told there was an internet issue, yet the reception computers and payment terminal appeared to be functioning normally, which made the situation even more frustrating. The television was also unusable without an internet connection.
Breakfast was another disappointment. The food did not appear fresh, and the overall cleanliness of the breakfast area was questionable.
What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the receptionist.
When the air conditioning in our room stopped working, we reported the problem to reception. The receptionist simply told us that the technician had already left and apologized, without offering any alternative solution.
It was only after I became visibly frustrated and explicitly demanded to be moved to another room that she finally offered to relocate us. Even then, she appeared irritated and impatient, making us feel as though we were bothering her simply by asking for basic hotel facilities to function properly.
We were not making unreasonable demands or expecting special treatment.

Good
I stayed for three nights. The first night was bad, because I was facing the station and the noise was awful with the traffic outside. I then swapped to a quiet room overlooking the interior area and it was very peaceful. The room was spacious and comfortable, there were nice complementary toiletries provided, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful, varied and fresh, well worth the additional payment. The location is very convenient for arriving or leaving by train and there are nice restaurants nearby.
Some things could definitely be done better. The rooms facing the station could be better sound proofed to avoid both the external street noise and the noise between the bedrooms. Check-in was very slow. There was no WiFi for the whole of my stay and this affected the ability to swap rooms because the hotel staff did not have wifi either. The area immediately outside the hotel is not very pleasant at night time and as a lone female I was very aware of this.

The location was perfect, and two of the staff members were extremely helpful and welcoming. However, the staff member who welcomed us on our first day was not very friendly, which affected our initial impression.
One of the staff members was especially wonderful. I believe her name was Iman, and she was incredibly kind and helpful. On our last day, she even helped us find a taxi, which we really appreciated. She made us feel very welcome and left a great impression.
The welcome on our arrival could have been better. We had requested an early check-in, but the receptionist only allowed us to enter our room about four hours after we arrived.
The housekeeping service could also be improved. Throughout our stay, the cups we used were never cleaned or replaced. I specifically asked to clean them, but unfortunately, they were still left unclean afterward. This was disappointing, especially since it continued throughout our stay.

I expected some noise from the street as the hotel is located just in front of the railway station (and the hotel provides some sort of sleeping kit). But the sounds of the neighbors were so loud as if they were having sex in your room sound proof is the main issue to be improved!

Very kind front desk staff. Good size room
Really mean aggressive breakfast lady. I went down to get coffee & she said do not take the coffee cup! She said I had coffee cups in the room. I said I don’t & she said yes you do! I walked away - she yelled to bring the cups back. :/
I went to my room & had no cups. She was awful!
