Great location right in the centre of town. Staff were very welcoming, allowed us an early check-in, held our bags after check-out, allowed us to borrow beach towels. Despite being on the first floor in a busy part of town, it wasn't all that loud from our room.
Very basic in terms of a hotel - bed and bathroom (e.g. no kettle or fridge).

Great Central location a few minutes from the beach.. Bed was comfy. Friendly staff.
No tea or coffee making facilities. No holder for shower head. Being in a central location means that you will get some external noise from the bars. All quiet from around midnight.

Only 2 streets back from the beach, this place is located so well. Walking distance to all the shops and main streets of Cannes. Staff were friendly and the room/bathroom was clean. They allowed us to stay after the check out with no extra charge
Only bad thing was the bed. The 4 legs were not screwed in, the bed was only balancing on them. If you moved too much the bed fell onto the floor. The room is kind of small but for a couple with only 1 suitcase it was easily manageable

The Location
Very overpriced for a 2 star hotel 645 for 2 nights. From Monday 9th October 128 for 2 nights!!
Prices hiked for exhibition week. The decor was very old, carpet dirty, very small bathroom, very basic.

Disappointing
Long story short, I'm a frequent global traveler and been in Cote D'Azur multiple times, including Cannes. The only good thing about this hostel is location, although not a plus as Cannes is small/walking distance everywhere. Would like to thank one of the receptionists, Victoria who was professional and helpful during my stay.
Highly recommend for this hostel to update its street sign ''Royal Hostel'' to Azurene Royal Hostel as misleading for tourists to find it. Breakfast is 10.50 euros per day next door at a restaurant but in the main street you can find Breakfast for 3 euros!! No lift facility and not to standards for a two star hostel.

The only good thing about this place is the location as its in the centre and close to many shops and the beach.
There is no lift in the building. The room is very small. The bathroom is so small and uncomfortable, you can barely sit properly on the toilet and I am a petit size figure. There is mould everywhere in the bathroom, within the sink, on the walls, the floor, the radiator, etc. I am sure none of the staffs would live in a place like that which has so much mould. When you take a shower the water goes into the bathroom floor since the shower curtain is basically useless. There is no shower handle so you have to hold it yourself while you take a shower and I asked the staff about this and they said all the rooms are like that they don't have shower handles, what a joke, is a shower handle that expensive to put in each of the rooms?! Just walking into the bathroom made me feel dirty and wanted to sanitize myself. The room lighting is not that great compared to other places that I have stayed at. Overall inside the building and the room is very dated and old, for the location it's at this building should be closed down and refurbished to match the location. Reception is supposed to be open from 9am-4pm (if I remember correctly) and you expect staff to be there within that period but staff doesn't sit at the reception and the only way is to call them or message them from wherever you booked the place. For the condition the room is in and the price I paid I feel like I got scammed and only paid for the location. Please update your photos to correctly reflect your room conditions as they are so people don't get scammed for an unhealthy and moulded bathrooms.

Location of the hotel is convenient
Unfortunately this was not a comfortable stay. We had never stayed in such small room. We booked a double room but the actual size was less then a 'Box room'. Certainly not a size for 2 people. Bathroom also incredibly small and not very clean. We found some mould on the wall No hairdryer in the room and reception also did not respond to my query. We asked for upgrade to a bigger room, apparently it was not possible during our stay. Would not recommend and would not come back.
