The front desk staff was less than friendly. They did not offer the information that dinner needed a reservation. (Morning desk.) The evening desk individual said we needed dinner reservations, when we appeared at 7:00pm and we would have to wait until 7:30- 8:00, even though there were tables available. 7:30 came and went, 8:00 came and went and not a word. I finally got up at 8:15pm and asked the clerk if he could seat us now and he told me to go ask his colleague in the dining room. I’ve never experienced such rude treatment while traveling in Europe. A decent facility can not overcome rude employees. (And we lacked transportation to go elsewhere- this was an emergency booking due to issues with our crossing on Brittany ferries, which is why some hospitality would have been appreciated!)

Reception area and lounge bar alright. Together with restaurant.
Shower ok, bathing products provided.
Complimentary coffee in the room too.
Free parking facilities with charging stations for e-vehicles (add on).
Rooms are very small. Bedding not so great, pillows very hard and can lead to neck and ears pain. Not soundproof, you hear what your neighbours are talking about, even at normal voice level. For light sleepers, you hear cars if the room is on “road” side.

lovely pool room pleasant
paid for a room with pool veiw and queensize bed but got sent to first floor with double bed and view of a roundabout complained stating above and got another room on ground floor with double bed with view of round about booked breakfast for 3 days waste of money eggs were not cooked right but coffee was good went for dinner at hotel asked for burger well done but alas it was pink so ended up not eating it but paid for it

The room had a bad smell and the ventilator was making big noise, so we slept with an open window but the smell didn’t disappear. The breakfast is overpriced, quite basic for the price.

Great location for exploring the area and only 20 minutes from Caen ferry port. Plenty of parking available. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. An added bonus is the ability to open the window to let fresh air in the room. Food and service in the restaurant in the evenings were both great. A large coach party arrived when we were there but the staff were great & it didn’t affect service to smaller tables in the restaurant at all. Special mention must go to Angelique who is a credit to the hotel.
Only disappointment was I accidentally booked breakfast for the final morning we were there without realising we were leaving before service started. I was unable to have this refunded despite a sizeable restaurant bill on leaving. I was offered ‘takeaway’ service but on the day this was on a help yourself basis, rather than picnic style, which we were unable to do without anything to put it in.
