The staff at the hotel were lovely. Very helpful and friendly. For a hotel, the restaurant food was delicious.
We booked this hotel as there was an outside pool. Unfortunately when we asked about using it, we were told that it was not possible and it was closed. On our last night I had an issue with a motor noise in my room and as a side asked the Manager why the pool was out of action and was told there was nothing wrong with it. Obviously, we were disappointed.
On one day the breakfast room had run out of eggs an hour before end of service.
The bathroom flooded as the drainage in the shower and sink was very slow and could not keep up with the good water pressure.
They also do not automatically service your room.

The 24 hour desk was great, as I was coming off the ferry late at night. The staff were very welcoming, and kindly offered to carry my bags up the stairs to my room. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, and there was a good powerful hot shower. It was very convenient for a comfortable overnight stop after the ferry.
The only two negatives I can think of are that there is no lift to the upstairs rooms, and the hotel would have been difficult to find in the back streets at night without a sat nav. But they were minor things.

Bedroom was on the ground floor, so easily accessible; bed was very comfy; there were dark blinders for the night and “lighter” blinders for the day; there was a suitcase stand (always useful); shower was extremely spacious; the mirror lights were adjustable; parking spot always available; staff very nice!

Convenient to most attractions. Ferry port and also the hospital. Bright, modern. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Pool is a nice addition although it was closed when we visited.
Breakfast was quite basic. Seems that if your not there early quite a bit was not replenished. No fruit on offer and only scrambled eggs as a hot option. Only very basic cereals.

It's a great stop for us for the early morning ferry back to Portsmouth. Particularly great that our dog is welcome in the restaurant too and free parking is a nice bonus. It's also within walking distance of the Caen Memorial Museum, which is fantastic.
