Staff waited for us as we arrived late and was very friendly.
The bar downstairs was very loud until the early hours of the next day and with the heat wave had a choice between being hot and uncomfortable or opening windows and dealing with the noise.

Good accommodation, very close to the train and bus station, which is very convenient if you would like to do daily trips from Caen, e.g. to Cabourg. Very nice and helpful person on the reception.

That it was convenient being right at the train station.
Being at the train station is very convenient but it also has its drawbacks. The people that don’t just pass through the station but hang around it all day and night are ones to avoid.

Some dodgy characters hanging around the fried chicken shop outside but hey ho. It’s near a train station.

I like the proximity to the train station, literally across the street as you exit. The room was clean and comfortable, with noticeable upgrades in the bathroom. While there was no A/C, the room had a floor fan which provided good air flow. I had forgotten there was no elevator, so do note this.
The breakfast was not worth the €10.
