The room was a Premium King with view and was an excellent size with a view of the river and bridges. The terrace dining area was really attractive. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice and had it not been foggy to sit on the terrace would have been a bonus. The dining area inside also had good views across the city as well.
Being of a 'certain age' and being alone, a safety grab handle in the shower area would have been reassuring. This is an observation, not a complaint.

Dinner in the restaurant was very good, and breakfast was good. The outstanding staff member was certainly Fortune at breakfast. She is very pleasant, helpful and efficient, unlike far too many of her colleagues. Room was OK, with the expected amenities. Good transport close by for exploring the city.
Far too many of the staff, mostly young men, were haughty, bordering on arrogant--too groovy to bother with lesser mortals, especially the young man acting as Maitre d' in the restaurant at dinner. Also, some of the young men at Reception desk have an "attitude" problem, and it was obvious that they resented being interrupted from checking their social media on their phones. One day we had to inform reception that our room had not been serviced, and this complaint was met with indifference. It suggests professional staff training is inadequate. We booked our stay in Bordeaux quite late, so didn't have much choice of hotels--probably due to World Cup Rugby crowds. Next visit, we will certainly look elsewhere. Not many reasonable restaurants near the hotel, but lots of bars only serving the equivalent of casual snacks, such as tapas.

Tram from airport to hotel fantastic, so easy. Staff at hotel very helpful and friendly. Bed extremely comfortable both slept very well from day one. Great position to walk around Bordeaux or hop on a tram. Didnt eat in Hotel as other plans but Restaurant and rooftop space looked lovely.
We were expecting the room to be a little larger looking at photos on website. Just personal preference but found the room painted in dark blue quite claustrophobic. This however would not stop us staying again.
