Historic building tastefully decorated. Very quiet despite a great central location.

I like to stay somewhere that’s a bit quirky and different. Could not fault my stay and will be back again.

Wonderful
Location is exceptional. In the most popular area but on a sidestreet which has no noise. Room was nicely furnished and illuminated. Host was almost always available and very helpful.
Not a single complaint.

Frédérique was an exceptional hostess! She made me welcome from the start! I enjoyed my comfortable room and the location was excellent. Near to sightseeing with several great C restaurant options nearby.

Fair
Just a 20-minute ride—only three stops from the train terminal. Location is great, at the historical sites. The owner greeted me warmly with a complimentary coffee. She offered to help lifting luggage to a narrow stairs but I took only necessary stuff to the bedroom on the 2nd floor.
There was no signage at the entrance. The old building is run solely by the owner. Two electric fans in the bedroom were dusty. She fixed it after I sent photos. Breakfast felt overpriced, especially considering I was the only guest who opted for it. It included no meat, and the fruits served were noticeably aged.

Location and host, There is a city tram from the train station and stops within walking distance. Once in the city center, everything is within walking distance. Our taxi back to the train station was delayed and hotel employee actually drove us.
The front door was difficult to open/close and lock/unlock. The photo posted is not the hotel; it is a nearby landmark. The hotel is not air conditioned and with the windows open in the city center, bring ear plugs to sleep.

Location is strategic
The house is a registered city' historical site
The owner overexceeded my expectations, she is born to welcome people at her home
In order to use the kitchen, just for preparing a salad, it is advisable to better equip it with, at least, oil, salt, vinaigrette.
Then, given the effects of climate change, I'd install the nets anti-mosquitoes/flies and something against the pigeons (which became a real problem, in particular, in every tourist city

Wonderful
The location was very central, in the heart of Bordeaux.
The hostesse Frederique was incredible and made me feel at home. From the moment I arrived, she picked me up from the train station because the tram was not operating. On our way to the guesthouse, she explained what the main landmarks were and then she gave me a tour of the place.
The breakfast was delicious and fresh, and Frederique did her best to accommodate my time and preferences.
I enjoyed the stay at Le miroir aux Fées as much as our discussions over coffee.
Totally recommend it if you're visiting Bordeaux!
If you have big luggage, the round stairs can be tricky Luckily I only had a small bag.

The location was perfect for exploring the city by foot. The owner was extremely kind smd helpful.
The property is quite old and the stairs to my 3rd floor room were very steep and narrow. There is no elevator.
