Very Good
This is a charming, funky, B&B in a historical building. In a different mood we would have very much enjoyed our stay but one of us was not feeling well so the steep, windy stairs were a challenge. Our hostess was very friendly, accommodating, and spoke English wonderfully well.
It wasn’t well suited to our needs at the time but that wasn’t the B&Bs fault.

Wonderful
This was the best way to experience Bordeaux - staying in a family-run 18th century building right in the middle of the old city. The room had a great enchanting atmosphere, and the owners were amazingly accomodating and kind. everything was clean and well thought of. You can feel that there is a lot of love and intention in running and maintaining the place. It really felt like home!
Note that there is a spiral staircase, so might be hard if you have some mobility issues. No AC in the room though it didn't bother me even in the hot days, and the wifi was not very stable in the room.

Very Poor
Location
No working WiFi and others.
Unfortunately, my stay did not meet expectations.
The room was located on the top floor and accessible only via a very narrow staircase. As I was travelling with a heavy suitcase, accessing the room was quite challenging and I would not have been able to get my luggage upstairs without the help of another guest. Afterward, the host explained that the information regarding the third-floor location was not clearly displayed on the Booking.com listing.
The WiFi did not work during my stay. I contacted the host through Booking.com and was advised to restart my phone, which did not resolve the issue. I also attempted to contact the phone number provided, but I was unable to reach anyone. Despite informing the host that the problem remained, I did not receive any effective assistance and was unable to use the WiFi during my stay. Other WiFi networks in the area remained visible, but the property’s WiFi network could not be accessed. Most of the communication regarding the issue took place only after I had already left the property.
In addition, the bathroom door did not close properly. As two people were staying in the room, this meant there was very little privacy when using the toilet, which was uncomfortable throughout the stay.
What disappointed me most was not only the issues themselves, but also the way they were handled. Technical problems can happen, but I would have expected more proactive support and communication during my stay. When concerns were raised, the explanations focused mainly on external factors such as Booking.com, a possible network outage, or other circumstances, rather than on finding a solution during my stay. As a guest, this left me feeling that my concerns were not fully addressed.
I was also surprised that an unpaid city tax of €4.60 became a point of discussion after my departure, as no payment was requested at check-in, during my stay, or when I checked out.

Wonderful
Cannot beat the location, it’s just so handy to everything and very central. Despite being essential, it was still lovely and quiet.
To be honest, the bed was a bit lumpy. Could possibly do with a new mattress.

Lovely old building in very central location. Room was very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay. The landlady was very nice and did store my bag for the day after checkout too.

Location is exceptional. In the most popular area but on a sidestreet which has no noise. Room was nicely furnished and illuminated. Host was almost always available and very helpful.
Not a single complaint.
