Wonderful
The location was very central, in the heart of Bordeaux.
The hostesse Frederique was incredible and made me feel at home. From the moment I arrived, she picked me up from the train station because the tram was not operating. On our way to the guesthouse, she explained what the main landmarks were and then she gave me a tour of the place.
The breakfast was delicious and fresh, and Frederique did her best to accommodate my time and preferences.
I enjoyed the stay at Le miroir aux Fées as much as our discussions over coffee.
Totally recommend it if you're visiting Bordeaux!
If you have big luggage, the round stairs can be tricky Luckily I only had a small bag.

Wonderful
The location was perfect for exploring the city by foot. The owner was extremely kind smd helpful.
The property is quite old and the stairs to my 3rd floor room were very steep and narrow. There is no elevator.

Very good located, in the heart of the city. Frédérique is the best host ever, breakfast delicious, my room had everything needed, bed very very comfortable, clean and very quiet, even if you are in the heart of the city.
The house is beautiful and very interesting. I stayed for four nights. I highly recommend it!
No elevator, which is logic because it is a 16th century house (or older).

Pleasant
More like a boarding house. Only a few guests- I had a large room with plenty of space but my bathroom was in a small entry and whilst you can lock the bedroom and bathroom doors, the entry was only separated from the steep stairs by a curtain. I was fine with it but if I had my partner who needs bathroom access through the night both doors would need to be open and thus only separated by a curtain to the hall.
Owner lady lives on top floor. Not much privacy. Felt like I was being checked up on.

Wonderful
The location is perfect, right in the middle of town. The women running the B&B is very nice and accommodating. She let me leave my luggage downstairs after checking out which was incredibly helpful.
More of an FYI, in typical European fashion the stairs are narrow and there is no elevator. The price you pay for a great location and a neat building

One of a kind experience in beautiful Bordeaux. Such a thoughtful host and exceptional location. The history of the building was wonderful and we loved the experience.
The room was very small and bed could have been more comfortable

Very Good
Very personalized experience by the manager of the hotel. Good hearty homemade breakfast. Steps to delicious restaurants. Unique experience..
The steps creaks, the bed creaks, the hotel is built in a 16th century shell. It was not a good match for me as I prefer quiet and privacy, but other guests loved it.

Frédérique was the warmest, most helpful, and most generous host imaginable. I let her know before my stay that I had special dietary issues due to an anti-cancer diet, and the day that I arrived, she was busy cooking a special gluten-free rice porridge for me, as well as homemade apple compote! This was well above what most hosts would have done to accommodate me. She also made me homemade almond milk! And found special gluten-free bread for me! I mean, she is a wonderful woman. I very much hope I can stay with her again. It's the people who really make a place homey, more than anything else, and I loved Frédérique.
