La Villa Desvaux was a beautifully furnished and decorated BnB with courteous and helpful hosts. Our rooms were exceptionally comfortable with a huge modern bathroom being the "piece de resistance". Breakfast in the charming little courtyard with muesli, eggs to order, croissants etc. was a delightful way to start the day. It is close to bus stops and walking distance to 2 boulangeries plus a 10 minute walk to Saint Seurin and several bars and cafes. Our personally guided tour to Saint Emilion was an added pleasure.

Lovely home and neighbourhood. 20 mins walk from centre of Bordeaux. Enjoyable breakfast with home made yoghurt and preserves. Friendly helpful hosts. I really enjoyed my stay.
I liked everything but missed a full length mirror in my room.

Everything about this Hotel was stylish to the core- from the subtle design of signage to the wonderful interior of all rooms and the external courtyard provided a cool and attractive space for breakfast. Breakfast was as delicious and home made as it was stylish. A wonderful Hotel and a great welcome.

The accommodation is very well appointed, it’s 20 mins walk from the main city centre. The room was very clean, the bathroom was roomy & the shower was excellent. The decor is fastidiously maintained & has a lovely style. Although it’s quite a walk from the Center there are plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants in the neighbourhood which we found to be good enough .
It’s 20 minute walk from the nearest tram stop from the airport, not a problem if you only have a small piece of luggage.

Our stay was in a beautiful and comfortable room in a lovely villa on a quiet street. It was easy to get into the city by bus to see the sites. The hosts were very nice. They were helpful when we had questions and when we needed any additional assistance. The included breakfast was good and included delicious coffee, breads and croissant, and freshly prepared eggs if requested.
The hosts do not allow eating or drinking of anything except water in the rooms. That would have been fine if they had allowed my husband and myself to use the kitchen and refrigerator to store any food we would like to bring back to the house for light snacks or hors d'oeuvres. However, when we asked, we were informed that the kitchen was off limits unless escorted. The location of the Villa is deep into a residential neighborhood, with no cafes or bistros nearby, making it necessary to travel to eat anything between breakfast (included) and going out for dinner (dinner was available at the Villa for additional cost but by reservation with a 3 person minimum required, so not available to our party of 2). That was an inconvenience and it made me feel like a less than welcome and trustworthy guest. It also meant that, aside from breakfast, we had to eat all of our food out. Additionally, perhaps the hosts could ask each guest at breakfast if they would like their room refreshed that day or provide each room with a sign that each room's guests could hang on the door to indicate their preference for that service on a daily basis.
