A beautiful place with very welcoming hosts. The included breakfast was exceptional as there were so many options and it was very well presented and good. The room and bathroom was super clean including hairdryer and toiletries.

Everything was top notch. Beautiful house and furnishings. Excellent breakfast with eggs and fresh yogurt. Bruno was very gracious. We had the suite which was spacious with a super modern bath and view to garden. Good bed.
Location. Too far to walk to the historic district. About 25 minutes. Especially if you visit during day and go back for dinner. No other transport options to town.

Beautiful, luxurious and very spacious room and bathroom with a delicious and freshly prepared breakfast each morning. Our hosts were superb and it was a real pleasure to stay there. In a time of identikit air bnbs, places like La Villa Desvaux de Marigny are now even more special.
There is a deposit to be paid which is refundable upon checkout but, given the nature of this special house, this was fine. It is a space to be treated with care.

Lovely property, beautiful inside. Room decent size, clean, comfortable bed & bathroom modern, with a good sized walk in shower. Bruno's breakfast was very good, with the option to eat outside if the weather allowed. Host was helpful. 10-15 minute walk into the city, which was fine for us.

Beautiful building with Excellent bathroom and good shower and comfortable bed . The wall to the next room was very thin . Excellent breakfast with good Choice served everyday . 20 minute walk to centre ville but there is a very good nearby bus service ;but with the present roadworks for the new tram/ bus next year there are diversions so important to ensure the host gives detailed advice about where to get the bus to the city and where it returns to which may be different due to tge roadworks.
This property is stated on the property details to have air conditioning .However the host , as he pointed out , controls it -only putting it on between 9.00pm - 8.30 am and he also sets the temperature ;and you need to ask for it to be put on , as we discovered on our first night when the Aircon did not come on at the above time .During our stay it was very hot in Bordeaux and I would have wished to put the aircon on - for example in the late afternoon when resting before going out for dinner and also for it to be at a lower temperature than is set by the host for the period during the night . The room instructions , which are surprisingly lengthy , (including reference to the taking of a 300 euro deposit in case of damage which is also not referred to in the property details ) stated ,contrary to the above , switch off the air conditioning when leaving the room.
I have never experienced a property advertised with air conditioning being controlled in this way .All of This should have been expressly stated on the property details , so it is known before anyone books the accommodation..

Bruno produced excellent breakfasts, particularly the home made yoghurt. The house is a sumptuous feast for the eye of beautiful objets.
The two kilometre walk into town was through a lovely neighbourhood where we now want to live! Maybe too far for some people though we were fine with it,

Very stylish guest house but without a car it was a 25 minute walk into Bordeaux centre or 30 minutes between buses.
On the day we arrived on the train from Paris it was 41c but despite having A/C in our room we found out it was on a timer and only came on between 9pm and 8am so you could sleep. Unfortunately it remained hot for the next few days so a little bit of flexibility with the A/C would have been welcome.

Room was lovely and spacious, loved the bathroom very modern. Bruno and Patrick were very helpful and always available to assist and communication was superb. Breakfast was lovely and fresh, and Patrick gave us some great suggestions on places to visit in Bordeaux. They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport which was a big help especially with a delayed flight!
Its a bit of a walk roughly 20 or so minutes to the main hub of Bordeaux, you can take a bus/tram, but the time is more or less the same. The city is building a rapid bus link that seems to be a block away which may help in the future. Though on the flip side its in a quiet safe area. You cannot control the air-con in your room separately so if you want it cooler/hotter you need to speak to Bruno, best if you could have your own control and some auto switch off switch if you left the room.

Tastefully renovated house in a quiet, convenient location. Beautiful en-suite bedroom.
The hosts are exceptionally helpful and generous with their time. Brunos breakfast provides a great start to the day. The trip to St Emilion with Patrick was the highlight of our stay in Bordeaux.

The Villa was in a great location, only a short walk to the centre of Bordeaux.
The property was beautifully decorated and very clean. The hosts Bruno and Patrick were fantastic and were very attentive and friendly, they felt like friends. The breakfast was superb with lots of choice and nothing was too much trouble.
We highly recommend the trip to the Vineyard and St Emilion which is provided by Patrick, you couldnt wish for a better tour guide as he is very knowledgeable and is really great company. Weve loved the whole trip as Bordeaux is beautiful and was made even better thanks to our hosts Bruno and Patrick.
