Fair
Not much. It is beside a massive construction site.
The room was dark and the size of a telephone booth.
The bottom sheet on the bed was plasticized which made for a very hot sleeping experience.
Best part: the breakfast. Lovely staff. Lots of choice. Nice dining room.
As above.

Disappointing
Location
Parking
The bathroom smelt of urine.
No ventilation in the bathroom
No bathmat
No hand towels
Paper cups above the toilet not protected by a complete cover
No shower cap available in the hotel
The AC was preset and the room was too hot.

The check-in area was amazing very comfortable. The staff was excellent. From the staff in the kitchen to the staff at the desk to the maid everyone was so so nice. Always smiling always kind. Give them a raise they deserve it.
The air conditioning at night was horrendous. I'm guessing the staff turned it off or controlled it from elsewhere. Impossible to open the window. We were sweltering at night.

Good
Comfortable bedding, walkable from train station and able to walk into main part of city along the water.
A bit farther from the train station than expected, confusing b/c it shares nearly the exact same name as another hotel closer to the train station. Rooms are small and it's difficult to get into the bathroom based on the door set-up. Would prefer to have non-carpeted rooms. Wish free coffee or tea was offered in morning.

Picked the hotel b/c it was close to the train station, tram and bus stop. We also needed convenient car parking for a day which while a little expensive was very handy. the room was has expected and great value.

Cost
Location- difficult to get to with all of the construction. I know - not really the fault of the hotel.

the receptionist was the kindest ever
I arrived at 8AM and she ask me if the room was for 2 people; I said just one,
so she told me: well , i got a room ready for you although check in is at 3 pm.
it dd not bother me but down town Bordeaux was about 20 minutes by bus

Very Poor
The moment we left
This is literally the worst hotel experience I've ever had in my life. To start, the hotel is completely old and the rooms are falling into pieces. But the worst is how disgusting it is: bathroom tiles are yellow, completely dirty, marks all over the carpet, liquid stains on the walls, there was hair on the pillow when we arrived, no hand towels, no shampoo/conditioner, etc. Service is poorly done: bed not properly done (trust me, the pic here is how we found the bed the next morning), shower was clogged, we talked to the reception and they did nothing to help - they said the manager was not there. We asked to be transferred and they said it was not possible. We wrote an email to Accor and they said we should talk to the hotel staff, so we gave it up to avoid stressing even more during the trip. The hotel is also next to a big construction site, right beside it, there's noise everyday, neighborhood is super weird and dangerous. Ibis should be ashamed to have a hotel like this - and it is not even Ibis Budget!!!

Location was near the major train and bus stations out of the city. The place was comfortable and clean. Staff were pleasent to interact with,
Close to the bus station into town. The room was a little small considering the price paid. Location felt a bit unsafe at times.

We spent one night in this hotel, it was very close to Flixbus stop to go to Toulouse which was important for us. Quite comfortable hotel for 1 night. Not far from the city center.

Pleasant
1: Most of the Staff.
The front desk staff especially the you g man at our arrival were mostly absolutely lovely. Very kind , helpful, and pleasant. The breakfast ladies were also very lovely. Thank you!
There was one exception - see negatives.
2: Good location - in terms of 5 minute walk to Gare St. Jean.
3: Breakfast: Really decent with all the standard options.
4: Room Comfort: Very comfortable bed and pillows, and good air conditioning in the hot weather.
1: One front desk person. There’s chunky bald headed dude in the afternoon / evenings who had a bit of an edge to him. He insisted with an accusatory tone that we should ask permission before getting water because it’s “not self service”. This is after we were told we could get hot water. There’s always one ….
2: Some Cleanliness Issues:
Travel companion and I thought about leaving the very first night and finding another hotel - especially after seeing the Ibis Styles.
2a: Toilet bowls are brown stained.
2b: The carpet in the check-in area is dirty.
2c: The carpet in the hallway leading to the rooms is spot stained.
2d: There are spot stains on carpet on the outside of my room entrance as well as on the wall above.
2e: Strange dark hairs (not mine) in the shower. I wiped the bathroom floor and cleaned the shower floor.
Everything else in the room was ok.
3: WiFi : It is not free if you’re required to give up private information (email) for access.
4: Location while close to the main station is a bit of a food desert - construction zone and nothing close. One has to walk to the train station.
Bottom line. For the price, I would try elsewhere next time.. Like the Ibis Styles around the corner. Wonderful at a glance with snacks in the lobby that smelled really nice.
