We stayed for only one night, very comfortable rooms, staff really helpful.
We booked two rooms, and only one of them had a very strong cigarette smoke smell. Unfortunately, the odor was overwhelming and affected our sleep.

Breakfast was just fine and what I would expect as a frequent guest of the campanile franchise
Additionally. Although, as expected, companiles are located outside Central areas and generally in urban industrial estates. This particular campanile Bordeaux lac is a very attractive "compound" with secure vehicular parking. A bonus which I had not considered when booking was the convenient tram stop/system for Bordeaux central and surrounds.

It was not clean. There were stains in the shower floor and in the sink. We found long hair strings on the bathroom wall.
They are sourcing only one single shower towel per person per stay. They are both changing them during housekeeping.
