This hostel is really great value for money. It is in a great location, walking distance from a bus stop, groceries, and a few hiking spots. The washing machine and dryer were very convenient.
The only downside of this hostel is that the WiFi does not stretch to the rooms and can only be used in the communal area.

i love the orange cat. I love the fact that theres a bus stop just 2 minutes away and i can get around faroe with just bus and hitchhike (its located near the main road) I love the fact that there are plenty cooking facilities and save us from the expensive prices of restaurants outside. I love the fact that we can see the sea every day when I wake up. I love the fact that it made traveling in faroe affordable and very enjoyable
Nothing. this is the perfect place to stay in faroe islands. I had doubts about the location before visiting but route 300 bus stop is just over the hill. and it takes only 45 minutes to torshavn and 1 hr 15 minutes to klaksvik. Plus most amazing tourist spot (gasadalur, floating lake, drangarnir) are in vagur and so its not far away at all.

Pleasant
A visit to the Faroe Islands in some ways a privilege for the rich. If youd like to experience nature at a price that makes sense then this is one of the few options. In that regard its fair, comfortable accomodation that you can tough out for a week. Hike all day, come late and sleep.

I was stayed there in Sep 2023 for 3 nights. Overall was good. When you reached there, just referred to the notice on the wall that called the owner phone number, he will tell you your room number and self check-in. Kitchen was full of facilities. Room was clean but very small. Allowed to free use washing machine. No problem for parking. The price is cheapest in Faroe Island. The owner may come in night time to collect the room charge. He is friendly & helpful.
Shower rooms were bad and need renovation. One female toilet with 2 showers and 1 toilet. In shower room is too small even not place to hang clothes. I think male toilet will be the same as I can't go in. There were another 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet that the shower glass was not well function.

Chris who runs the place was so real, so personal, so relaxed, and so helpful. He gave brilliant advice about weather and where to travel, and he was flexible with bookings. I had such a pleasant time. Also, they have the cutest hostel cat, and the most magnificent views.
The kitchen was missing a few fairly important key ingredients, like salt and oil. That's literally my only critique.

We slept in the bus, and the view 20 meters from the sea was amazing !
Access to the toilets/shower in the main house.
Also the living room/kitchen was quite big, with big tables and a few couch, and everything you need to cook :)
And sleeping in that old bus was a Nice experience !

The hostel features a spacious community room, with a view to the sea. Also there is a direct bus connection to Torshavn and it's not very far from the airport. The location is great and there are a lot of hikes nearby. The WiFi is excellent.
Only one bathroom has a working lock
