The room had a single bed, which the hotel says that's a twin bed. The single bed itself was very narrow. Not very comfortable.

We had a warm welcome from the hotel team and were allowed not only to park our car before check-in but also to get to our room earlier. The sauna was really nice on the top floor and the breakfast was great with local delicacies.

From the polite and helpful check in, this hotel had a welcoming vibe that never diminished. My partner is a serious fan of Aalto, so the ultra stylish, and extremely comfortable, rooms were a big hit. The area is very convenient to restaurants and shops, with the vibrant area of Kamppi just a short walk away. Finally, breakfast was satisfying and had a great selection to choose from.
We tried to think of something we didn’t like about the hotel, but there was really nothing.

Hotel Helka has become a sort of home away from home for me. The friendly and helpful staff at this hotel really makes this a great hotel. That said, I also love the breakfast, the comfort of the rooms, and the sauna. One of my favorite restaurants (Atelje Finne) is around the corner, there are several second-hand clothing stores within walking distance. Kamppi, the train station, and the National Opera and Ballet are all within walking distance. I prefer staying in this location than closer to Esplanadi.
I informed the desk when I moved in that I did not want housekeeping to clean my room but somehow housekeeping didn't get the message and straightened the room anyway. This entailed moving all of my clothes from the bed where I had been sorting through things.

The single room was very small. The floor panel under the table was not properly finished. Sounds from the corridor was easily heard in the room.
