It's a classic hotel building. Käpylä is a nice area, even being remote from city center. Good thing that the new owner has respected history of the building. Breakfast area, which is the restauraunt Puistola was very nice. Breakfast itself was quite basic. Parking is free in the side street next to hotel during at least weekend / overnight.
Room itself was quite nice in concept, but it was quite worn down. Toilet bowl was positioned so that you could not sit there straight.
Bed bug check resulted only finding that the bed frame was in very bad condition, stained and smelling terrible (piss or tons of sweat). Mattress topper was ok'isk so tried to forget what I saw and smelled under it since I only had this place for one night. Room had also many sections which were not clean, only the most visible things were cleaned.

They should tell you before booking that they charge 20 Euro for a dog.
A room on the 4th floor is not convenient. Elevator is to small.

The beds were fine, good blankets not too thick as they tend to be in the hotels and make you sweaty. Room was clean, although not the cosyest.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. The toilet seat was broken, wall and door were covered in someone's hair. The check in process with the app on the desk violates so many GDPR privacy rules.

Great service, Tram stop 1t virtually outside and takes around 15 or so minutes into City Centre. Clean and tidy possibly recently renovated. Great Breakfast. Would definitely stay again
